Thanks, Lisa! As a matter of fact, we had a wonderful time. The dinner was so delicious and we were delighted that some of our closest friends were there and we all sat together. Now we're just relaxing on the front porch with a drink. Al is reading and I'm....well....here!!!

How's YOUR day been??

Nancy, I know it's tough sometimes to think about deceased parents but you have a full life and are a grandmother as well. So go and spoil the hell out of the grandchildren and send them back to their parents on a sugar high!!! LOL!!!

Aww Nancy that sucks. I think it's good to go through the personal artifacts of those we love/lost. It seems to hit harder when actually holding physical things that they used and it's ok to mourn again every once in a while.

The hardest part today was finding the picture of my nephew Brian in her wallet. It was the last school picture he had taken. Brian was killed in a car accident 2 months after he turned 12. That find was kind of a double whammy. I do have lots of pictures of him myself, but this kinda hit home harder.

Just for fun here are a couple of pictures from today's game.

It was a good hit. See the catcher and umpire watching the ball fly.

Head down - running.

Al always teases me when we go somewhere and I take pictures, because regardless of the event, I take about 100 pics on average. He thinks I'm a photo fanatic, but truth be told, I just take so many bad pictures that if I take about a hundred, the law of average rules in my favour and I usually get at least 25 good ones!

Old big gob spoke to soon.

I spent last night vomiting about 20 times...today I feel like hell, can't keep any fluid down and have a mad fever and hallucinations....Claire woke this morning to find me having a conversation on the end of the bed with the Monkey King and later to find me getting dressed because I was going out to buy an ice cold can of Pepsi in it's 1980's can...it had to be the white can with the red and blue logo!!!!

No sleep, sickness, fever and aching joints...I want to curl up and die!!!!!

What makes me feel worse is that this is what my poor little boy had to go through and it hurts like hell.

I'm going back to bed!

Feel better soon Jim. Sorry you caught it too but, well, it was inevitable. Now the important thing is to keep it from going around again.

Mornin' Bill. I was thinking that you should print some pics of that bike and Ethan playing baseball, and stick 'em on your cubicle walls. Do they let you do that? Or...what about taking a picture of your cubicle, and then you could throw darts at it??

I saw this one coming from a mile away. Hang in there buddy, at least it might help to know that it seemed to be only about a 48-72 hour thing. Maybe I need to go out and buy you a toy!! We'll be thinking of you.....

A few pics from my step-son's birthday party/BBQ this past Saturday. My stepson and his wife were not able to have kids of their own, but they are crazy about kids and go all out to make a fun time for the nieces and nephews!!!

My granddaughter Aislyn enjoying the pool.....

......and enjoying the slide!!!

I LOVED this shot.....one of my stepson's nieces and nephews!

Alcan like old hound dog in the sun after a full meal and a few brown pops!

My stepson decides to "play" with the kids......

Morning Nancy,
Busy day today, and a late night coming too. Today I'm going to work until 12:30 then I'm taking the afternoon off. For Father's day, my wife bought me 2 tickets to the MayhemFest and the day has finally arrived. It's a huge concert with 3 stages and approx. 30 bands. My son is coming with me. We went last year too. It was his first concert.

Rock on, old dude.

Life thoughts for women

Comes the Dawn

After a while you learn the subtle difference
Between holding a hand and chaining a soul,

And you learn that love doesn't mean leaning
And company doesn't mean security,

And you begin to understand that kisses aren't contracts
And presents aren't promises.

And you begin to accept your defeats
With your head held high and your eyes open,

With the grace of a woman, not the grief of a child.
You learn to build your roads

On today because tomorrow's ground
Is too uncertain for plans, and futures have

A way of falling down in midflight.
After a while you learn that even sunshine

Burns if you get too much.
So you plant your own garden and decorate

Your own soul, instead of waiting
For someone to bring you flowers.

And you learn that you can really endure,
That you really are strong

And you really do have worth
And you learn and learn ... and you learn

With every goodbye you learn.

Tell me about it...I haven't eaten anything since Sunday afternoon, I haven't been able to keep anything down...yesterday even water was making me queasy but I have been drinking plenty of doctor prescribed sachets of stuff you add to water with all the vitamins and minerals and electrolytes etc in them.
The sickness feeling now could be due to the empty feeling but my abdomen is still painful and the thought of food still turns me off.

I've lost 5 pounds since Sunday (big fatties lose more)...Claire lost 3.

As you say, not the best way to diet!!!!
