Icon12 Beauty Tip

OK girls - here is a recipe for exfoliating cream that you might like. Put 3-4 Tbsp sugar in a small bowl. Add a few squirts of hand soap, and 1 squirt of hand lotion. Blend, and run thoroughly into hands (or feet) for a few minutes. Rinse.

Someone gave me this recipe some time ago, and it will leave your hands or feet very smooth. Much cheaper than high end exfoliating cream, also.

Yes, we used to use a similar mix at work - at the hospital our hands would get so dry from washing them so often. I don't remember the soap - but it had lotion and sugar. Feels weird on your hands but once you wash them they're silky smooth.

Great suggestion for this time of year, Carolina. My skin just hurts from November to March.

Preeeeecisely! I really miss not having our big gas grill - we've moved so many times and didn't want to haul one around with us. One of my favorites was ribeye steak marinated in bourbon and brown sugar. Probably put some salt on it, too. Purely delicious!

I mean, you can take the exact same recipe, cook it in the oven and it's (yawn) ok. Just ok. But when it's grilled on an open flame, look out!

Geez, woman! No sugar on your hands? No sugar on your meat? What is it with you and sugar!

Actually, thinking back, maybe I didn't use brown sugar. I might be thinking of another recipe for pork or chicken. Bourbon is sweet enough.

Oh, and happy Friday morning/night! Having my cuppa Starbucks and baby is exclaiming on my lap. They are such funny creatures.

Good morning! That ribeye steak recipe sounds yummm-mo. You need to get us the correct ingredients!

Elaine, that sugar will just make you sweeter!

Yes, happy Friday! It's cold out, but the mall will be warm.... and guess what? I'm going to the Godiva shop for a nice piece of choco. Of course, June will get to pick a piece for herself and one for Phoebe.

Poor Phebes - her orthodontist put a splint and bands on her upper teeth and she's so sore and miserable. I think a nice piece of chocolate would cheer her up when she gets home from school.

YUMMY! Shame, so Phoebe isn't a happy camper is she?! Sounds pretty uncomfortable. I'm sure the chocolate will do wonders!

I didn't know orthodontists still used those kind of braces!! I thought they were all how mine were.[IMG][/IMG] Hmm!

Anyway, I can totally feel her pain. Not even just the braces aspect. My teeth are KILLING me from these Crest white strips. They are so sensitive that it hurts to talk because my teeth get too cold. I hope this sensodyne toothpaste will work

Yikes - cold teeth - that's what you get for living in Canada!

Will that sensitivity wear off in a while? Your teeth look beautiful now - and it sets off your nose perfectly!

Yes, and my daughter's splint has that device on the roof of her mouth to keep her from sucking her thumb - it would be like putting her thumb in a bear trap. I feel so sorry for her, but she doesn't complain much.
