1. It is a fantastically photogenic watch (in my view). The dial and hands look very different depending on the angle and the light - especially direct sunlight - ranging form chocolate brown to gun metal black and almost speckled grey.

2. The lack of AR was quite apparent in some shots (I have left a couple of examples in below). I never find this hurts legibility but in direct light I had to work quite hard to find a good angle to avoid obvious reflections.

3. It is no Grand Seiko but the watch holds up really well under macro - it has made me love the watch more. The bezel particularly has a great texture and the gold indices are a joy to view under magnification.

4. I need to learn more about watch photography composition!

Hi,
I just became a lucky owner of the navy blue since a week and 1/2 ago. Does anyone have this problem: the hour hand doesn't line up perfectly when at the 3, 6 & 9 markers? It's very slightly off but noticeable. Wonder if it's only my copy...Other than that, it runs well& fit my 15cm wrist nicely.

Yep. Still with the new super strain of covid.... i am betting on a march - april return of my watch. TBH i just dont trust Tudor at this point. I had a lot of visual QC issues on mine and it ran slow. Then top it off with this....

I hope so :) that would be nice. Can i opt out of a polish. Its a bit young to get one. Plus I wanted this watch to get a bunch of dings and scratches and have my story attached to it.

Yes you can request them to skip polishing. I would not as am not on the no polish camp, think a well done polish would not harm a watch and will probably take away the bad taste of the watch malfunction, giving a fresh start on it.

Thanks. I am going to skip it this time. The watch is 30 days old and has super minimal damage so far. Saving the polishes for the big ones is what I want to do.

For owners of the blue....I like the flat/matte/navy blue of the dial however, sometimes I see it presented in photos as a pale washed out blue. I'd expect some variation due to lighting but is severe or is my monitor out of whack?

It's hard to capture but it's definitely a matte/navy blue

Thanks! Already have a blue 18239 and a blue 16622 so will pass on getting the blue version as well. Did not saw one in the flesh before buying it and was afraid the gilt was going to be loud (all my attempts on TT have resulted on quick flips) but it is in reality sublime. Really impressed so far!

Saw the BB58 blue today and fell in love with it. The blue color is unique and not in your face like so many other blues. An AD in Oklahoma City had 5 but I’m waiting for my AD back home. I can wait and have some loyalty to him

BB58 Navy is still my favorite daily watch! Right price point where it can be a real daily 'beater'!

Having a lot of fun with the BB58. The throwback styling reminds me of the Canadian navy versions with snowflake hands and round markers. The watch Just shouts out to mix it up. I have worn it on the factory rivet since December now it’s time for some variety. The last few days I have been wearing mine on a 1986 Rolex 93150 flip lock and it takes on a totally vintage feel. Today I changed up to a Military Nationale style parachute strap.

Very versatile, fun to wear and I don’t have to worry about wrecking a high value vintage piece.

Here are some photos...

I bought a BB58 yesterday. My local Rolex AD just started carrying Tudor again a couple weeks ago.

I gave the watch a nice Dawn dish soap bath last night after it had been in the store. On my Rolex GMT Master II BLRO and a couple other watches, the bezel will be a little tough to turn after, but it quickly gets back to normal.

This watch, however, got a lot tougher. It was almost like some dish soap was caked in there. I gave it another good rinse last night. I showered with it this morning. I let the fairly hot water get "all up in there," and I cupped my hands so that it would be submerged. I turned the bezel a lot while it was under/in the water so that it would hopefully rinse it out. I did this for probably 5 mins.

Now it's a good bit better, but it does not at all feel like it did in the store. I can't really just do one click easily, for example, and there's a lot more resistance. It seems like certain positions on the rotation have more resistance, like around the 12 o'clock it's worse.

Appears it's a known problem that some Tudor bezels don't do too well after they've gotten wet--especially if there's an additional substance that could gunk it up.

I called Rolex, and they just advised I send it in or call my AD. I'd rather avoid either. Any ideas?

First, congrats on the new BB. Great watch.

Second, if there is any kind of lubricant (oil, grease, silicone) in the bezel, your dawn adventure got rid of it. That might explain some of it.

Unfortunately, I'm not wearing mine today, so I can't compare. I rarely use the bezel, so I don't remember how easy it was to move.

Let it dry out, wait a while before getting all worked-up over it and sending it in. It may just resolve itself.
