Nice. Still kinda surprised they haven’t been acquired with their quality products.

There will be an announcement by FTC on Google infringing on SONO patent in Dec. We all know Biden’s position on big tech. DOJ’s antitrust division head appointee Canter is going through the vetting process right now after his nomination so its only the beginning.

Apparently Amazon’s products are also in the cross hairs. Watched that news unfold over the summer as price traded up to $44 during a lack luster macro market environment? So low $30s seemed like a good entry point.

Pure manipulation on SABR, easy to tell on the low volume sells at market open to quickly move this down. They BEAT eps by over 8% and missed revenue by 1%/$4M which is peanuts. Now have over $1B in cash. YoY rev looks incredible and trending in the right direction, YoY rev is up over 50%, bookings up and going into holiday season. The lack of guidance, typical for SABR caused this downtrend but to be down in the low 9s is absurd. Not financial advice, just my .02 but I am buying as much as I can here sub $10 and will continue to average down if we go below $8. Saw this happen earlier this year when they did a $300M offering, which btw they haven't even had to tap into, and stock bounced from 9.45 back to $12. Not worried at all here on 2023 calls.

For more positive news, those on the AUPH train, two big PR releases today.

BMY cancels lupysis study, this is HUGE, remember same rumor that they were in buyout negotiations for AUPH

PFE sells lupsyis canidate https://www.fiercebiotech.com/biotec...gainst-bristol

So you have two major weight bio companies, canceling their lupysis efforts in pursuit, of presumably, the blockbuster AUPH drug which is superior to the underwhelming peers and soon to be SoC. Hopefully a bidding war is going on behind the scenes, I doubt we will see much from PG on ER tomorrow, but personally even with the 200% runup, I am not selling a single option.

I bought SABR ‘23 $7 and ‘24 $8 leaps earlier..

Am holding a ridiculous long position on AUPH and $17C leaps bought last month. Hope it works out..

Anyone else with a SOFI account sign-up for possible Rivian IPO shares ? Price range = $57-$62

“Rivian said it is offering 135 million shares priced between $57 and $62, with an option for underwriters to purchase up to 20.25 million additional shares.”

I am watching from sidelines. $80B MC sounds a bit rich to me as I am hesitant to own LCID at $54B MC. Yes Rivian has a deeper order book but I am not sure how their tech will hold up. I am impressed at how efficient LCID’s power plant is. Would definitely look at owning one if I lived in CA to take advantage of the EV HOV lanes..

Wow SABR getting inappropriately demolished today. I’ll need to clear up some cash on some other holdings and average down here.

If there is something you don't understand, just ask! We are all here to help each other and the only way to learn is by asking questions. Feel free to ask anything to us, there is a group of seasoned investors here.

Not sure if anyone listed to the AUPH ER call today but it was absolutely wild. Margin at 98% (not a typo) and 14m rev in line with consensus. During "Q&A" one of the analysts asked PG the CEO about all the buyout rumors and he goes "read between the lines". Haha, I have been doing this for 15 years and have never heard anything like that before from a CEO, usually it is "no comment". Market responding very positively, over 5% this AM. IMO listening to him, and no guidance for 2022, makes me believe BO is around the corner and i've got my fingers crossed for a bidding war. If not, you have a blockbuster drug, that is best in class and soon to be Standard of Care. Congrats to all of those who rode this train when I posted around $10 months ago.

really thought paypal was done falling, not sure what's going on there after they denied the pinterest acquisition. seems crazy to go from 310 to 220s while the overall tech market is going up

@logo you still in $UP? ER next week, been a nice week or two climb from the 6's. I suspect a nice beat next week with PJ demand although worry about rising fuel costs. I have a few friends in the industry and said this has been the highest demand for private jet travel ever in history, finding pilots has been a big concern. Any thoughts, been deciding to trim gains or takes losses on the warrants into ER or wait?

Yup I’m still in and holding. I’ve heard the same regarding private jet demand - seems it’s really taken off. I agree about rising fuel costs, but at their rate of revenue growth I’m not too worried. I also believe Kenny will be able to manage the pilot issue - he’s been strong so far and I love his enthusiasm for the future. He recently was quoted that private aviation is now “firing on eight out of eight cylinders, This is an inflection point for our industry—we’re big and strong and going to get bigger and stronger. I think over the next 20 years we’re going to see 10 to 20 more times the number of people using private aviation. If the industry is $30 billion today, I could see it being $200 billion in 20 years.”

It’s P/S is so low right now, and I really do think this stock should rightfully be in the $11-15 range at minimum. I thought about trimming a bit, but it’s been underwater so long that I think I’m just going to sit tight on my shares for now and hope it gains traction on Wall Street. At some point if they continue to perform as they’ve been doing I figure it will reflect in the share price.

Also re COTY - nice pre-ER move. Might trim a very small amount if we get to the $9.60 area pre-ER, otherwise I’m holding my 2023 calls. Looking to see $12+ soon as long as KKR doesn’t mess with us again.

Sincerely appreciate that @7sins and everyone willing to share ideas and thoughts. For me the markets are intriguing and would love to learn more and invest on my own. But having to wade through so much junk and fake info out there I decided to look here and try to learn or at minimum make better more educated small investments. Hopefully make a little extra to support this watch addiction lol. Once again thanks and looking forward to learning from everyone.

I trimmed a little of my COTY 23 $10C earlier this morning to free up some money just in case the fed meeting was going to create a buying opportunity. Still have a good amount that I’m going to hold through earnings. Fingers crossed it shoots up like last quarter!

I recently bought stock in Hertz (HTZZ). I understand that they will soon be coming out as an IPO under the symbol HTZ. Does anyone know what happens to my shares? Are they converted into HTZ shares?

I may not hold it for long. It seems a little too volatile/meme stock for me.

My advice is to read up on options before using money. Options are a great tool and worth the risk if you know what you’re doing with the picked security.

LEAPS are awesome.

I like selling covered calls with my long positions but still have more to learn.

Anyway, I jumped right in basic options w/o the proper DD 3 years ago. Got killed because I didn’t trim or more importantly, didn’t know what I was doing. Didn’t avg down, pay attention to The Greeks, etc… Lost $18k then (sad thing is I was up $13k with those same options at one point). I was lucky though because my non-option trading was strong & I finished the year in the positive.

Even today, I’m a smarter options trader but still do the occasional boneheaded move like with DKNG weeklies last Feb/ early March. Luckily, I recovered just before the expiration date and 7sins offered some helpful advice that I agreed with.

I will take the advice and educate myself more as I for sure need it. It helps when you have seasoned investors point out missed flags or potential opportunities. I'm a hands on learner and prefer to jump in but hate to lose money lol. So I figured I throw in the 1k that I made from regular non-option trading and use it to learn with and hopefully grow it and just use that to trade more with. I can recover from 1k if I lose it all I am not much of a gambler lol. But thanks for definitely giving me some strategies as having back plans is my style! I will try to implement those on the next option since I'm maxed out on the 1k I told myself I would only use.

What I like about this forum is the commerodity and it shows with everyone pitching in to help or aid in making better trades. I've learned a lot more in a week then months ready random trade articles with info overload.

Agree with both of you on COTY. We already have good insight into ER as IPAD validated market strength and increased guidance. LRCLY validated cosmetics. So I think behind the scenes sales are very strong. My two concerns are if any supply chain disruptions are disruptive to revenue and also the impact of China sales given their resurgence of covid or just in general due to delta last quarter. Guidance will be key here. Remember KKR and JAB have an ENOMOROUS number of shares sub $5. I fear everytime we get close to $10 they unload into the market, which is evident by the YTD chart. Anyways, it is still one of my biggest positions, I noted here trimming at 9.50 and then backing the truck back up when dipped below $8 recently.

I am waiting for this run up again to ER to then sell any calls with a strike higher than $10 into 2023 $7C and trim gains into cash. Will limit my upside but ITM calls here have proven to be better trades and I can put any fear away with more shares sold from KKR/JAB ~$10 but still have plenty upside. Just my .02.

Go to tastytrade.com and watch the free videos there on the basics of options, they are great. I also wrote two tutorials in this thread on the basics I can link if you want.
