If I’ve held a stock for long time and I am sitting on large capital gains that I don’t want to become taxable, I will hang in there for 5, 10 or more percent losses as long as I think the company’s positives remain intact.

Going to give it till investor day then if we have made no progress I’ll roll into a lower strike. But I’m thinking more and more I’ll just let most of this ride through earnings, or at most sell 10% pre-earnings if we get closer to $9.50.
I think you are spot on here, I go back and forth on being ITM/OTM. If I was KKR, I would think to sell shares at a higher price than $10 for more profit, I am not sure why that is their threshold other than to unload off the balance sheet. Should be a great call for next week.

Finally right!? Great 3.5% day, getting close to $120, it was an easy buy under $110. It is very frustrating to see AMD and NVDA breakout to ATH, while we tread slowly higher but provide them all of their chips lol. Still up 22% on those 2024 TSM calls we bought though but definitely a bit of FOMO as I should have spread between SOXL, AMD and NVDA.

This is VERY VERY VERY IMPORTANT. A lot of you bought in with me on these SOFI warrants near $4.50 a few months back, announcing redemption stripped out the premium down to $11 - still nice 150% gain. If you do NOTHING by 12/6 these will expire worth $.01. You need to either sell or call your broker to convert to shares based on cashless share conversion table. I am waiting until earnings next week and then will sell all of these warrants. Will wait for a pullback and put that cash to work in the 2024 leaps we bought a few pages back.

Cheers brother! Big gains today, almost past $10 earlier on STRONG volume and nice bounce back. Was an easy buy sub $9, clearly oversold and was being manipulated down when looking at l2 data. I expect more gains when we open to international travel Nov 8th.

MorningStar came out today with an INCREASED buy rating and $15PT. Screenshots of analysis below. Good news for SABR here. I posted the first 3 pages of the analyst report below, anyone wants the full one shoot me a PM and I will email the 21 page PDF.

Also VERY good news for our SEATW position. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/li...?siteid=yhoof2

LiveNation BLEWOUT their ER, beat rev by 750M at $2.7b with expectations of $1.92B. HUGE. Up 15% today. Earnings were 19 cents a share, compared with a $2.45-a-share loss a year ago. VERY good insight into earnings for Vivid next week on demand. Sales were up 10% over 2019 PRE COVID!

7sins, curious as to why SEATS isn’t moving based on LYV’s good earnings?

Just my .02 here but two reasons.

1. The underlying stock, de-spac was $10 for most of the year, that is a 33% run in the last few weeks. 150% for warrants. So there has been a solid run the last few weeks, I think we are forming a strong base here at $13.

2. Honestly, I don't think the aforementioned really matters. I don't think many people even know this stock exists (whatsthetime shoutout to you). Look at the volume, avg volume is 420k shares, today is 225k shares - LYV vol today is 6M+. If you go to the various message boards, there are little to no followers. This is one of the bigger issues with a SPAC is you don't get heavy exposure, not as much as you do with an IPO at least. Anyways, with more exposure, especially after ER will increase volume and push the price higher once people know Vivid is publicly traded - noting that on most metrics, SEAT is more attractively valued than LYV. Yet you see LYV being pumped on CNBC weekly by commentators. Just need more exposure.

7sins, I opened a position in RBAC warrants 2 weeks ago (SeatGeek). Did you also (or anyone else)? Still very early in this SPAC process.

Well, I posted 10% of my COTY position for sale at the minimum price I wanted and it didn’t go through. So now I ride into the weekend with a fully loaded and leveraged position of OTM calls ready for a moon mission next week. Gentlemen, I bid you a fine weekend. We ride Monday at dawn.

Timely post as I was just reading this…. Regurgitating what I am reading off ST so its not verified.

Compared to SEAT(VividSeats), RBAC(SeatGeek) is not yet profitable and will trade at $1.4B Market Cap with 1/3 revenue. SEAT released '21 guidance with EBITDA in the $105M+ range at current MC of $2.7B. SEAT MC de-spac was $2B.

However, Seat Geek has a stronger user base and supposedly "better tech" so a better longer term play. What does the brain trust say?

i'm holding as well, but on the bright side surely it can't end up worse than not taking profits on bbig?

Please correct me if any of my info explained incorrectly/ not right.

These premiums should be higher at todays open. Basically if you sell to open a covered call at the Jan 21 $60 strike, you collect $2.12 per share ( or $212 per 1 contract).

If the stock hit that for Jan 21 & prints, great for the everyone. You get that sold price plus the $212 premium per contract.
If the stock doesn't hit $60 at the expiration, you keep your shares and the premium

Do you know LCID’s current cash position and their burn rate? It was mentioned that they will be making an offering as well to raise more money. Guess we will get a better idea after their earnings call which is 11/15?

Elon Musk playing TSLA shareholders on twitter to likely justify a 10% sale of stock. His rationale is to combat the proposed tax on unrealized profits. His brother already sold $100M of TSLA last week via SEC filings.

COTY hits $10.15 in pre-market.

“6:49a ET 11/8/2021 - MarketWatch
Coty stock jumps after earnings beat, deal to sell more of its Wella stake to KKr

Shares of Coty Inc. (COTY) shot up 9.6% toward a six-month high in premarket trading Monday, after the consumer beauty company reported better-than-expected fiscal first-quarter revenue and announced a deal to sell off more of its stake in hair care company Wella. Net income for the quarter to Sept. 30 fell to $103.0 million, or 13 cents a share, from $200.6 million, or 24 cents a share, in the year-ago period. Excluding nonrecurring items, the company swung to adjusted earnings per share of 8 cents from a per-share loss of a penny, beating the FactSet consensus of 3 cents. Revenue rose 22.0% to $1.37 billion, matching the FactSet consensus of $1.37, while "like-for-like" (LFL) sales grew 20.6% to beat the company's guidance of "high-teens" percentage growth. For fiscal 2022, the company raised its LFL sales growth outlook to low-to-mid teens growth from low teens growth. Separately, Coty announced an agreement to sell a 4.7% stake in Wella to KKR & Co. Inc. (KKR) in exchange for the redemption of 56% of KKR's remaining convertible preferred shares in Coty.

The Wella stake sale would leave Coty with a 25.9% stake in Wella. Once the deal closes, KKR will have a 2.4% ownership stake in Coty. Coty's stock has rallied 8.0% over the past three months through Friday, while the S&P 500 has gained 5.9%. “

Great quarter, strong guidance and it looks like our KKR problem is being addressed. I would be surprised if we do not see some good upgrades and institutional buying now. IMO, runway looks clear to $12 for COTY. Congrats all!

Wonder how this will work for call options if you have an uneven number. For example, 1 exercised call option on BBIG should get you 10 shares of TYDE, but what happens if you don’t execute your option? Do you get a fractional option of TYDE lol?

looking forward to it finally getting through the 10.5 wall. it seems like every time we got there in the past some news set it back shortly after

also on bbig - surely 4.3 was the bottom, i really don't even understand how the current valuation makes sense but this is a good start. nice way to start a week so far

I’m a little conflicted on if I want to sell some of my 2023 COTY calls today. Strong guidance and they’re doing well. Speaking for myself, my company is going to a hybrid work model come 2022 so I’m envisioning more companies doing the same come Jan 2022. Sales should only increase even more. But like huncho mentioned above, there’s always something that sends the stock down.

BOOM! 15m vol in 1 hour on market open on COTY, great momentum here and pushing on $10.50. I am pulling out my entire original investment at 20% gain. Letting the rest of my gains ride and will add on future pullbacks.

Never go broke taking a profit and remember our collective euphoria last ER before KKR dropped the price with the market at ATH.
