Our about to be 4 yr old granddaughter asked us to get her a pink rattle with hearts for her to give to her new baby sister when she arrives in a couple of weeks. So we trekked all over mid town and downtown Manhattan but couldn't find exactly what she wanted. So we got a couple of rattles that we hope will be a good substitute. We talked to Alyssa on the phone and she approved the substitutions. We'll see if she still likes them when we get home.

For Christmas, my husband said, "I got you a subscription to 'Classic Car' magazine."

Woo hoo! This made me quite happy.

So, yesterday I get a bill in the mail with my name on it. "Please send payment immediately so you can begin receiving your subscription..."

Oh well... do-it-yourself gift-giving is more our style, anyway.

Well.... in his defense, no matter who actually "buys" stuff, he does pay for everything. I'm sure he'll tell you that a time or two he's STILL paying for certain things.
