Stunning. Still, a pitty that the JDM brand is available without a problem.

Depends on what your definition of a 'problem' is.

1. The JDM watches are also limited.
2. They are a bit more expensive, and will likely incur an import duty if you were to buy them from outside Japan.

Right. Too imprecise. By „without a problem” I meant that it is on stock. As opposed to Kurono which sells out in seconds. I tried twice waiting in front of a computer 10 minutes ahead of release time, counting every second to 3:30PM CET. And failed each time.

Fully aware of customs fees (negligible in the EU) and VAT (15-25% depending on country of importation).

Another „problem” is the fact that the Japanese internet shop delivers Chronos only within Japan.

Oh come on. If you like the watch, don't begrudge, but rather celebrate, the fact it's easier to get!

About the second 'problem' - get a forwarder. White Rabbit Express would be happy to buy it on your behalf... (I've used them numerous times before and they're great.)

Sorry to revive this old thread, but many months after "discovering" the Chrono Tokyo Bullseye, I finally acquired one:

It's a stunning looking watch. Since this last post, there's been a lot more drama in the Kurono Tokyo <-> Chrono Tokyo relationship. A few weeks ago Kurono Tokyo posted on their Instagram stating that they would be shutting down the Chrono Tokyo label as of 2021. But they also seemed to have deleted that now.

Also, If you happen to have one of these Chrono Tokyo watches and tag them on Instagram, they promptly untag themselves

Not sure what's going on at the KT camp, but it's a bit...

Congratulations on your new buy! It looks very good how do you buy? White Rabbit as someone mentioned?

Does anyone have info on this Chrono vs Kurono relationship? I also saw the instagram post that say that "in a bid to avoid brand confusion and country bias, we would like to announce that effective 2021, there will be a cessation of JDM only brand and it will be consolidated under a single kurono tokyo branding"

Seems like they like to hide/delete certain posts? I read somewhere that how Mori was supposed to be limited to 200 but then they added 88 to that afterwards? Cant find that post either I like the brand and they seem very open but sometimes not

Chrono Tokyo is the same as Kurono. This is just the Japan Domestic Market version of this brand (pure marketing thing). The watches, apart from the Bullseye, are IDENTICAL.

BTW - Kurono is just the different spelling of how Japanese pronounce Chrono...

So to sum it up - the same superior quality and fantastic design.

Congrats! Finally some good quality and nice set-up photos of the Bullseye! Would be great if you could post some more.

I am just waiting for the silver version of this model to be shipped to me. Now, the wait time will be nicer when looking at your pics.

As far as I know, they are identical watches, further confirmed by their now deleted Instagram post that called it their "JDM only" brand.

Yeah, earlier in this thread I said something about respecting their decision to be transparent etc. I take that back, they're being pretty shady with all the deleting/hiding.

Yup. Kurono in Katakana. Chrono in Romaji.

Alright… after several months here we are - the dial is really incredible. I was worried it would feel cheap and it’s far from it. The packaging speaks for itself, the strap is very well done, case finishing is very nice, and well the dial just pops.

Looking forward to getting the Seiji.

Seems like they're trying to bury the chrono tokyo brand then.
It's funny how in the JDM models, caseback has text "Produced by TiCTAC". TiCTAC is a Japanese watch retailer that collaborated and produced the watch for Hajime Asaoka I guess.
But this info is deleted on kurono models.
check out this listing's caseback: https://www.rolexforums.com/showthread.php?t=785578
Also, as someone pointed it out to me, kurono brand could be owned by different company from chrono tokyo. and it's in Singapore.

Has anyone else noticed the rotor on their toki is rather noisy?

All Chrono JDM (Japanese Domestic Model) on TicTac are sold out now after they opened up for international shipping. Also they were limited too by the way. I can see this Japanese version be much desirable in the future.

The available JDM models were the Chronograph 1 Panda, and reverse Panda in same limited quantities as international. Also the REIWA and 3 more from the classic collection. That's it, only 6 models with same movement, case, dial, perfect superior craftsmanship, Hajime Asaoka design printed on back, etc as the International Kurono.

Looking to pick up the coral/salmon Toki. Owners still happy with theirs? The OEM strap does nothing for me based on pictures. The watch, especially the dial and design language, and its concept are compelling, however.

I am starting to see these gain more traction in the collector community.

I sold mine for cost soon after buying it. The dial was very pretty but I couldn't get over the crappy movement. The noise from the rotor was ridiculous.
