Are you out of your mind? It's not a fair trade at all.

I wouldn’t trade those two watches for the Daytona even if I was trading in your pieces and keeping the Daytona for myself.

If I were really tired on the BLNR and LV and really found the Daytona I wanted, yes. Otherwise, not likely. Let me just say I'd never own either the BLNR or the LV so it's not a likely scenario.

Thanks for the opinions.
I ended up buying a 16520 (A-Serial, white dial, papers, box, etc...) and sold the GMT 116710 BLNR to a friend. No need to have so many GMT models (16713 RB and 16710). Also decided to keep the Sub LVC and will sell another watch like the black 16610 since the 16610v is in my collection. My collection is now pretty much set in stone. |

Not in a million years would I do that trade. You will definitely regret it.
Edit: Looks like you already made your decision. Enjoy the Daytona! |

I personally would not do that trade. I used to have a 16528 and I really loved it. Until I tried on the 116528. The bracelet improvements made a bigger deal to me in daily wear. I switched that watch out for a 116508, primarily for a different dial.
You’ve got to get what you like, but I typically like the more current variants lately from Rolex. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Hmmm, not the best condition I have seen for a 16520.
Ultimately buy what you want. If it makes you happy, that’s the important. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

yep. agreed through a lens. its never been polished and i took macro photos using an older iphone. even my 2018 Sub looks bad using a 10x loupe or macro photo.
from 12" , it looks great. although time keeping has been perfect. i'm far more worried about the movement for this 20 year old watch. i'll have it serviced soon. i also ended up keeping the Sub. so selling a GMT BLNR that was rarely worn in 2019 and paying some cash for a full set 16520 is good for me. i'm happy. |

If it’s great condition no dents not heavily polished. I would go for it. But trade only one and add a little cash. Try to negotiate more

First thought: "Spock, are you out of your Vulcan mind!"
Assuming your research is solid on the value of the Daytona, it's pretty close to a fair trade financially going one way. If you decided to reverse the decision later, all things being equal, it would likely cost you a few grand out of pocket. Aside from all that, if you really love the watch and the other two not so much, then do it. Just saw that you took the plunge, and it sounds like you got a deal that you were happy with. Congrats! |

It's funny how many TRFers are shocked to see what a worn Rolex looks like. A rare bird indeed.
I took a flash pic of a PM fluted bezel once. Ouch!

Yep. Appears many recently purchased SS Daytona, Sub LV, and GMTs must be wrapped in bubble tape and then stored in boxes. There are some watches that don’t need to be polished while serviced. This is one of them to not risk it.
