Thanks, Keith. I think I took that one with my compact, a Canon SD700 IS. I do have a macro lens for my 40D.

Most of the current compacts do a pretty darn good job in macro mode. The key when shooting them is stabilizing the camera, because everything is magnified, including camera movement.
