When you buy a Rolex, you aren't buying a watch, you are buying a brand. You are paying to associate yourself with explorers, adventurers, and captains of industry.

There are numerous brands that out perform Rolex, but few will excite the way Rolex does!

Shorts & singlet at work? What a sight!!

It was raining this morning and the place is very cool now - around 15ºC (that should be somewhere in the 60ºs F), but now the Sun is out and it's starting to warm up. Very, very pleasant by my standards. If I were at home, YES - shorts and singlet!!

Exactly. This was and is my point. The matches would never be "random" between tubes and crowns. All but.

It would depend on where the tap started cutting the thread in the watch case. And with the manufacturing process being automated I would have thought it to be feasible.
If all the crowns were cut from the same start position then they would line up.
But like others have said why bother with silly little things like this when they have things like ceramic bezels to produce.

Not a lot of 'em. Now, if you want numbers, let's talk about all of the iguanas falling out of the trees here in Florida due to the cold!!!

Mine is at 10:00, but it's not something that really bothers me. Now my new Speedy Pro is a manual wind, and I have to admit that I always set the crown to 12:00.

Now what is the point in hijacking a thread just because you don't agree with the answers?
This is a forum after all!

wow this is crazy, here is the solution, If it matters that much to you the next time you get a Rolex tell your AD Example: I want to buy a SUB but it is very important to me that you find me one with the crown at 12 so call me when you find one thanks, My DSSD has it at 12 but so what to me it is so insignificant. it is so small and most people look at the watch face bracelet but not one person has ever told me " hey nice watch to bad the crown is at 10
