At the young age (well, relatively) of 30. Bought a BNIB 14060, in 1994, which I still have, while on a business trip in Hong Kong.

I visited that AD (La Suisse Watch) again the last time I was in HK (2009) and I could still recall the details of that fateful day in 1994. Felt like it was just yesterday.

I almost bought my first Rolex at 23, in college, I wanted a white dialed Explorer II badly and I was offered a strange vintage one with black dial and with a funky orange hand (I knew nothing about Rolex back then) for $600. I said no since it had black dial (stupid move) and ended up buying a Longines Admiral Chrono instead since I didn't want to spend that of money back then. It served me pretty well but it ain't no Paul Newman...

Got my 1st Rolex as a wedding gift from my wife. 16610 Sub date. I was 30 years of age, needless to say I still have it/wear it even if I added a few more over the years.

I was 22 years old--23 years ago--wow how time flies! It was a DJ Jubilee TT with a white jubilee dial--$1800 dollars way back then. It was the older 14kt gold and steel also. What a great watch--wish I never sold it.

I was 28 when I bought a new TT Datejust 16233 back in 1988.
It´s still going strong. Five years ago I bought a new dial with Roman numbers.

A brand new 5513. Destined to be a flipper. I sold it 6 months later and bought a 1675 GMT Master, which I still have 30 years later.

I was 29 in 1994 when I got my first Rolex...a pre-loved 16610. Bought it as a present to myself for graduating from law school. I flipped it 13 years later for a BNIB GMT II Pepsi. I was amazed that I made $300 on the trade.

17, saved up and bought a brand-new SS Datejust twenty-something years ago. It's been with me on dozens of trips all around the world. Still wear it all the time.

I started out kinda late for my first Rolex, 36. It was a TT blue sub and came about as my income allowed for it. But I did start liking this exact watch when I was 27.

It's great to see all of these young people getting into the WIS mode, and especially into the Rolex mode. Rolex is becoming more of a young person's brand. As far as when I got my first Rolex, it wasn't until my wife bought me the GMT IIC for my 65th birthday. I got my Sub Date 6 months later. (That new Hulk is looking mighty interesting)

i was 21 (1986) and it was a gift from my father, a 2-tone datejust. watch is still in mint condition and working great!
Then it wasn't until 2006 (twenty years later) that i bought another. It was a 2-tone gmt II ceramic. Now i also have a milgauss GV, a SS daytona, and another SS datejust.
