Sweet triple-seven. You must have a GMT as well?
I always wondered why the aircraft industry always seems to choose dull grey/beige fixtures, housings and trim panels for the avionics and flight deck of modern aircraft. Why not black or dark brown, charcoal or something more appealing? Even white would be good (high-visibility), but perhaps prone to grime and dirt.

Answer is...Due to the color spectrum and ultraviolet light. Pilot need to see full instruments. Back then it was just all flat black on pilots back ground displays. Now its all electronic display. Mangeta ,chrome yellow, purple all sorts of colors. You can adjust contrast and brightness so the grey in neutral so it enchances the CRT's in the flight deck.

Am I the only one who gets nervous when the pilot's wearing a Deep Sea?

At least its a Rolex, and a big one, so easy to read! and he must be a fairly good pilot because he can afford one! Could be worse, could be wearing a genuine "Ronex"

Here is a sharper pic of the books for you and the folks on the thread. Pretty accurate guess, I did major in Accounting in college, however, I work for a Major Global Investment Bank (Narita is one of my favorite airports)... You still get the win
