None. I think all this talk about "investment" is mainly a way to justify the purchase!! If you think about it, there are a million better investments out there

No one

I think a modern Rolex would only be a good investment if you got a huge discount on a watch that sells well and it's not usually discounted.

But even so it's not a good investment, just a good way of loosing less money to aprecciate a new watch.

Actually, all my watches are investments. They pay a non-monetary dividend each time I put them on, or even just glance at them in the winder.

And that's a tax-free dividend to boot!

Lets face it £500.00 profit in 8 years is not a lot, but i wore that watch all the time and enjoyed it, plus i didnt have to feed it, it served a purpose and gave me plesure then gave me back £500.00 for the privelidge of owning it. I am sorry but you missed the point, if that money had been sat in the bank earning the crappy intrest we are getting now it wouldnt have pleased me at all..............

i don't know why folks keeping recommending lv subs... this was suppose to be a limited edition watch, it's been going strong now for 10+ years. that's not limited. i'm going to defend the SD as the best appreciating rolex watch going forward on a relative basis. the DSSD was polarzing. the SD was a sub destroyer. the SD is no longer being produced, this will increase value, as evident in $ commanded. plus, the nitty gritty of this watch is unreal, 4x the depth capacity as the sub, similar looks, simply, the best of the no-date, dssd, sub... this is the perfect rolex
