The more important question is why are two people who own $100,00+ cars shopping at Walmart. Every single one is almost as gross as the people who work there...

I think you'll find that this has been answered multiple times in the thread already.

Damn it I thought no one was looking. I did not want to take any chances and slip in a puddle. Walmart uses a very cheap asphault. I waited 90 minutes for it to stop raining and it never did. I have all my pockets lined with soft suede leather and there is no safer place to store my watch. Stop busting my ballz. Its a Rolex. Its a Rolex man.

How is cape may lately?

My family used to go to wildwood and capemay every year from like 1988-1996 but I went to wildwood a few years back and it turned for the worste. The people in wildwood seemed to be very seedy just like sleazside lately.. Cape may on the otherhand is a older crowd.. Nothing really to do for the younger generation so I'm guessing that cape may is still very nice..

I drive one hour to get to my target in upstate NY.

I saw an employee at Home Depot wearing a 16710 Black Bezel GMT Master II. It was real, I asked him why he wears it at work? He said cause it's a Rolex, it's mean't to be beaten. I'm like "Good Answer". Haha!

Everyone looking down at Walmart shoppers are the same ones calling this guy out for wanting to show off his Rolex. Why pay more if you don't have to?

Walmart is convenient, affordable and clean. Plus, you can pick up McDs on the way out.

All good to me. Nothing like snacking on a BigMac meal in my Convertible!

We all have our quirks... The thing cost him $8000.00, I am not surprised one bit. I swim with my watches so water doesn't bother me but we are all different.

Did you stop and think, maybe the seal around his crystal or crown is damaged and he didn't want to get water in it. Maybe it was really a MO-LEX and wasn't water resistant... Maybe he left the Lambo at the house in a climate controlled garage and the Benz is his "Beater"

Some people don't drive their cars in the rain, and obviously they are designed to be... some people are constantly cleaning the nice things they own (furniture, jewlery, watches, electronics)...

Did you consider that it could be a fake?
Fakes don't tolerate water well...

If you wanted to pamper your watch - on your wrist in the rain is a much better place for it than in your pocket - with pant fibres scratching up the pCLs and the bracelet clanging against itself...

I know that he was driving a MB, but they don't make fakes of those...

As far as the Dumping on Walmart posts...Where exactly do most of you buy your toilet paper? Cartier? Rolex ADs with little gold crowns embossed on the edges?... Get real. Buying a Watch does not define you.

I cannot believe there are people who feel they are too good to shop at certain retail stores.

Sad....

They don't...they use spare $100 bills for that purpose.

I do not shop at Walmart, but it has nothing to do with snobbery (or maybe it does?). Of the few times I have been in a Walmart to buy something, I found the experience to be rather unpleasant, and since there are two other alternatives near me (Costco and Target), I pick those over Walmart. I buy my TP at Costco. Another benefit to shopping at Costco, is they usually have a few high-end watches for sale, which are alway nice to examine.

That's what I wonder, too. At our local Wal-Mart the journey between car and store can be pretty scary for a mom and her kids.

just seems like a strange calculation.....afraid of getting it wet, so, take it off, then put it back on in the store.....with wet hands. i'd think the risk of dropping it in the parking lot/having it fall out of his pocket/putting it back on would far outweigh the "risk" of getting it wet.

oh, and:

it seems the appearance of wealth is MORE important than actually having it! LOL if all you got is a car and a watch to make you look like your loaded, your very poor imo in many ways.

I don't see toilet paper at Nordstroms or Saks5th. Everybody has to go to Walmart or Target to get it or if you are too good for those stores, then have someone go out and get it .....

The more you shop at walmart, the quicker your Rolex Account will grow!!
