Once and it was stolen. So I try stay low-key now that it's been replaced. But usually, no, and I like it that way. I wear it for me and it makes me happy.

No not really. My black 16710 rarely attracts attention. I was at a lounge and some guy I knew was like "oh nice watch, what is it?" I pulled the old "oh it's a gmt master." he then said "what's that?" Then he proceeded to advertise his new skagen he got for a birthday present. He was clearly not knowledgable because he thought he was wearing a leopard Daytona or something lol. Oh well, I don't care for being flashy, people in the know have complimented. A couple girls noticed as well, giving the ole "wow that's a really nice watch." ;)

Most people mention "nice watch" when I have a solid gold one on (YG sub or RG Daytona). Get alot of that's a big watch when I wear the DSSD, no haters though!

No one really notice what watch I wear except on one occasion a young good looking girl commented on my Daytona. I suspect she just want to chat me up rather than admiring my watch!

Three times in two and a half years - once in a jewelry store in the Caribbean, once in a Cadillac dealership, and once in a doctor's office when a tech mentioned he had to sell his when his wife gave birth to premature twins and they had a long stay in the hospital. He was a lot prouder of the picture of his twins than I was of my Rolex! It was a nice reminder of what's important!

I think it depends on the watch...if I see a flash of yellow gold, I may look over and see if it's a day-date president. The only time I recall someone looking at my wrist was a couple of my nephews at a get together, but nothing was said....and to be honest I prefer to fly under the radar for my personal enjoyment. I do look at others wrists from time to time, but wouldn't say anything either. Rolex is mainly for the enjoyment of the person wearing it and the feeling it gives, IMHO.

Only once....one of my patients noticed and said "Is that a Rolex?"
I said yes, and then she went on with her history.

At work - all the time. Office full of WISes!

Never been approached on the street and would rather stay as low key as possible..

My watch is covered by my sleeve most of the time. I've gotten a few compliments in a year i have been wearing it. Most people are not into watches and the ones who are, may not say anything. I have made conversations with a few other Rolex owners, but i would not go out of my way or run after someone just because he or she is wearing a Rolex.

I have only had one person, a stranger, not a watch dealer notice my sub-c lv! It was a mechanic at a local garage that I was getting my government car serviced at! He was out in the waiting room and commented on it in passing! I thanked him for his comments! No one has noticed my PAM but I have only had a month or so!

I'm an investment banker who travels quite a bit and I am amazed at how many people (always men) notice and comment on my Deepsea and white dial Daytona. I get slightly less comments on my GMT II C. I get none on my Subs. But the most attention goes to my Panerai 312- it is a hot thing for younger finance people, and it is the only one of my watches that gets comments from women

A year ago I was sitting next to a guy on a plane with a Sub (forget what one). I caught him looking at my DJ and he gave me the "nice fake Rolex you poser" look. Probably because I was 24 and didn't look like l should be sporting a luxury watch. I just ignored him because I didn't buy it for what others think of it, I bought it for what it represents to me. Every time I look at the time, it reminds me of how hard I have worked to get to where I am today. Purely motivation!

Among all my watches, the one that I got least compliment ie not even a second glance from the public in the wild is my DayDate2 218206 plat with glacia blue diamond roman dial. Seriously, despite that being one of the most expensive rolex, it is simply not getting any second glance let alone compliments.. The most outstanding and most praised rolex I have is my 116618 18KYG Submariner ceramic with blue dial.. .. James

I am so good looking and so sharply dressed, that people don't look at the watch.

I love it! To me, this is exactly what a Rolex is, and what Rolex represents.

You would see people keep looking on what you wear in your rest when you are talking them but most of the times it's only looking no compliments

Whenever you go to jewelery or a upscale watch store they will first look at your rest to see if you a serious customer or you just walked in to browse

Only when wearing pieces that really scream for attention(Tridor Masterpiece, YG DD II, YG YM II, etc) When I am wearing a SS Daytona, which I wear most days, I don't think I've ever received a compliment about it.

Coincidentally, yesterday I got my first comment on the DSSD from a coworker. I find out that he had noticed my TT Sub Blue earlier and then saw the change, thus the comment.

So some people do notice. He had never commented on the Sub before.

I have worn at least 20 high end watches in the last 10 years.
Most comments in order:
1. Pam 127
2. Rolex solid gold blue sub
3. Rolex TT blue sub
4. Rolex YG YM II

I sell cars for a luxury manufacturer. In my business, most of my customers also collect watches as a hobby. Most of them notice whats on my wrist(and I theirs) and usually it becomes an ice breaking conversation. When people are spending that much on a vehicle, they will tend to trust someone more when they can relate to them.

On a couple of occasions, a patient turns out to be a WIS, and we end up talking for 20 minutes about watches.

On another couple of occasions in the ER, the person noticing my watch is of a certain character that makes me leave the watch locked up in my office at the end of my shift and call security to walk me to my car.

This just in...as I was laying in the dentist chair getting my braces installed (I'm 24 and this is the earliest I could get braces because I joined at 17) one young lady said,"Look at those tatts," and other young lady said,"I'm looking at his Rolex!" Then they started touching me.

Btw, I'm sporting the Blue 16613 on Nato in my field uniform and its the only Rolex to get spotlight unlike my GMT II and DJ.

Strippers always notice!!

Without fail, they notice and zero in on friends and me when we are wearing a Rolex, in particular the Russian girls.

Also, car salespeople, waiters and clothiers.
