This is too funny. Didn't a buttload of people say that they would never make a SS Daytona with ceramic bezel? Some said it would never happen because that's not how Rolex does things and they know this for a fact. We see how that went.

It's in two-tone, not straight SS

LOL - got screwed. I thought this would never happen as well.
I think the precious metal ones will drop in price now? I don't see many ppl picking up the white gold over the SS now. Whats the RRP on these? |

I tried on the YG model a while back. I liked it, but knew I'd never drop that kinda money. Now with this introduction that I honestly did not see coming (never say never!), I have a watch on my "to buy" list.

It's still a honkingly huge watch that looks too large on all but the most massive wrists. But Rolex should have released this in stainless from the git go. This is unequivocally a stainless piece with a white gold bezel.

Think a perpetual calendar is looking further away now.

This stuff makes me smile. I've said "never" many times in my life, and I've been wrong more times than not.
I used to write for pro wrestling magazines and have been a big fan since I was 7 (in 1975). In the eighties, I used to tell people that Ric Flair would never get seven NWA world title reigns because the NWA promoters would protect the legacy of Harley Race's record six world title reigns. It's 2017, and Ric Flair has held 8 NWA World Heavyweight Championships, 6 WCW Championships, and 2 WWF Champiomship reigns. Total of 16 World Titles. :-) "Never."

The point I agree with is it does look a lot like the DJII. But the calendar complication is great so if anything this could hurt the DJII.

I never thought this day would come, never. I did however say there's no way they'd release a SS Coke GMT this year, lol.

Stainless steel, 3 dial options. I didn't see this one coming.

Hmm, fair enough, that's pretty misleading. My bad. Don't think I've ever seen a two tone in white gold before, let alone with a full steel bracelet.

I think this is awesome and I want one. I am guessing we will see a good discount in the secondary market, mostly because its not a watch for everyone and people will buy and flip. Now...this or a ss daytona-c |
