Yes Karis , never ever thought I could afford or justify the cost of one in the right condition.

When I was a young lad I used to live for golf and the winner of The Open always got a gold Day Date so my heroes at the time , Nicklaus , Palmer , Player , Seve all wore a Gold Day Date and that is where my love affair with the brand started.

To own such an iconic watch ,for me , is a dream come true and to be in such good condition and such an excellent deal is why I feel so happy .

Love your collection too Karis , you have great taste

Well done Gaz, you got a great deal and a gorgeous watch (a Tony Soprano special). The Day Date will always be widely regarded as the elite Rolex piece.

Fantastic - congratulations. I'm completely jealous. I missed an opportunity to pick up a red sub a few years back in a similar deal. Good for you for jumping on it.
