How in the hell could ebay or paypal side with a buyer with THIRTEEN purchases over a seller that has been in business for over FOUR DECADES with an A+ rating from the Better Business Bureau?

I'll donate $30 dollars to start a fund to hire a PI to track her movements and investigate.

Looks like the mailing address is listed under her maiden name. Judging by the date of ownership it appears it may be her parent's residence. She appears to be residing on Wakelee Rd Waterbury, CT.

...hmmmmm...

...if this is not resolved, EVERYONE also needs to watch eBay for her to list the watch!!! I have placed her in my favorites on eBay to watch her!

...she is more of a SELLER than a buyer on eBay!

...if she lists it there, you got her!

...you should also monitor craigs list in her area!

Apparently I will be hearing from her lawyer soon since I sent her an email asking her to drop the stupid scam. Oh no, please, not her lawyer! F'ing delusional, this lady.

That's the problem with accepting Paypal, they can always take the money back...I had an incident involving a watch also, I sold it on ebay, shipped it to the buyer, he got it and left positive feedback. About 2 months later he opens up a dispute with Paypal stating he never received the watch. I showed Paypal the tracking, his positive feedback, not good enough, they debited my account so I was out the watch and the money...Luckily I did insure it with the USPS and they did refund my money because they failed to get a signature, which I paid extra for...The guy that got the watch never answered any of my phone calls or emails...Paypal was of no help at all, all they cared about was the buyers word....I've done nearly 2,000 transactions on ebay and have had incidents where a buyer will send back items completely different from what I sent them...A lot of dishonest people out there...

That`s why eBay and Paypal can`t be trusted because the word is out that it`s the easiest scam going with virtually no chance of getting caught. This a problem that will only get worse over time because eBay are only interested in profit and they don`t care who has to pay.

Why no proper investigations by eBay and PayPal?

eBay and PayPal should investigate any dispute thoroughly. By not doing so and giving the benefit of doubt to the buyer, it is not healthy. This will encourage more scamming.

In this particular instance, the seller is reputable. Perhaps, same cannot be said of the buyer. A thorough investigation should be carried out and if it could be proven the buyer was trying to scam, the matter should be brought to the attention of the police. By doing this, potential scam artists will have to think twice before trying to rob the innocent.

I know this may not help now, but something I always do, I always ship watches at a fedex or usps physical location, where the clerk takes possession of the package (not a dropoff box). Basically at the store, I have a video camera running the whole time documenting the actual watch, with day and time, and zoom in on the actual serial number, being put into the box, sealed and handed to the employee. That way there is zero chance that I would have swapped the boxes (within reason).

Sorry to hear your plight, hopefully it will get resolved.

I'd like to get a update from Mastermixer. Several TRF's have emailed and texted her, I texted her and she stated she was going to notify the police if I did it again. I told her to go ahead. Please update us, has any of this helped?

Geez, no we are going to have to start taking videos of the watch actually working before mailing it out! This is a pathetic scam, obviously. Hope you get it sorted out.

I'm not exactly chopped liver! (although I do not condone threat making to anyone. Not cool.)

Actually, while I posted that mainly as a joke, I do not believe that threats or intimidation is a very effective method .

I agree, but I don't think most of the members are posting threats. I think there is a general concern for the situation the OP is in, and many want answers and the scamming to stop. As I'm sure you do. I think with many eyes and ears out there, you can discourage at least this one scam and hopefully many in the future. At least the scammer knows many people are on to her and hopefully this will be her last.
