Not a huge fan of diamonds on a watch, but that my opinion. I've seen a few that looked nice though

Diamonds are fantastic !

It's all preference really,
I used to hate diamonds on watches, but after awhile to me non diamonds started to look boring,

I only own Diamond watches
both are rolex , one a president Glacier jubilee diamond dial
and other is a GMT II with diamonds on lugs/bezel/band (special occasion wears/vegas)

All Factory, I'm not into aftermarkets

Which would be the better investment, gold or diamonds?

Would a solid gold Rolex be worth more than the same model with jewels on it?

Are Rolex watches 18 kt SOLID gold all the way thru the bracelet and case?

Neither a good investments. The solid gold / jeweled models depreciate the most, they take a big hit as soon as you walk out the door of the AD if you bought it new. You're unlikely to ever get your money back on them. The best performing Rolex models in retaining their value, have always been in SS.

And yes, a gold Rolex is 18kt gold all the way thru. Everything that looks gold, is solid gold. Case, case back, bracelet, bracelet screws, bracelet spring bars, everything!

Wow Kyu, your GMT really is a stunner! Great pics, thank you, I don't think any other TRF member has a diamond WG GMT??? So, you are getting another WG GMT in Dec?? What's different about that one from the one you already have? And will you be keeping both???

Hey Caryyee !
Thanks ! I love it, But I hardly ever wear it lol. It's been worn twice so far, and this week will be it's 3rd wear,

I think another TRF member here owns one, but without the diamonds on bracelet. Just maybe hiding it.

And yes, I'm considering getting another GMT II in wg in december.
It's gonna be about the same lol, just different bezel. it'll be a half and half like the coke and pepsi
Except it'll be half sapphire and half diamonds,

Differene will be that and no diamonds on bracelet.
It's the one GMT that originally got me , and I've been wanting to buy it.
I got this one because of the rarity of it, I believe only 4 exact models exists in the U.S.

the sapphire one I'm getting in December , theres a total of 7 in the U.S. not sure who owns them.
the price tag's holding me back a little but my heart says GET IT !
I'll be keeping both, the SANR for special occasion/casino wear
and the SARU for not so special but special occasional wear
