One more thing and it maybe very silly and very stupid and don't laugh!! But do you think it's possible to like contact Rolex to perhaps make one watch with just no white gold on it but same quality? I could pay the same price as the white gold one any way. It sounds too dumb but whatever! |

I doubt Rolex will entertain producing a one-off watch for you, but I suppose if you found a model that only had gold content in the hands you could swap those out. Seems like a lot of bother though. I don't know though. Talk to an AD, I'm sure you're not the first person to have a need for this. Good luck with this, I'd be curious how it works out for you.

Thanks very much, you are really helpful! I will talk to an AD and see what they have to say. I won't lose anything by asking. People in Dubai who buy Rolex are those rich people who are unfortunately not that religious or those who think the content of white gold isn't enough to make it forbidden for us. They probably think that as long as it's not full of yellow gold, then it's okay to buy it. Not even Dubai only, many people have this confusion. They think a watch has to be entirely made of gold (especially yellow gold) in order to be forbidden. And that's NOT true. Even 1 % gold white or yellow make it forbidden. And I'm a religious person and won't choose a Rolex over my religion obviously. But yeah you do make a good point, thanks again! |

The ADs in Dubai probably do pretty well from the tourist trade as well, probably a lot like Las Vegas in that regard.
There are many here who know more than I do however and I'm not 100% certain, so it might be worth starting a thread and asking if any models come with no gold.

My white-faced Explorer II has black indices and hands, so I assume those aren't made of white gold and then blackened...
