How about this. Get it out of the box and sized. That way you can verify everything's ok, and put the sellers mind at ease. Then put it away till the day.

Then, on your special day, slip that bad boy on and enjoy!

Ed,
It looks stunning as I knew it would. Congratulations again. Now all you have to do is get used to wearing a +7K watch on your wrist!
Have fun at your party...errr I mean event, it is supposed to be a surprise you know!

The hard part was coming to terms with paying $7k.....I have to admit, and I have bought alot of things...that first and only visit to the AD sort of blew me away....but quickly got accustomed to the price points.

Its like diamonds. Ill never forget picking out my wifes engagement ring many years ago - the day I came home from the jewelers, who was a friend with 4-5 diamonds in my pocket (wanted to get opinions on the best one) ...in a little piece of tissue, like 30 grand, and this was 25 years ago.

I was very young, and so nervous in the elevator of the jewelers building...
shoot i bought my first house for about 30 grand

I know exactly how you feel. I walked out of the AD after putting my Sub on layaway and actually felt a little dizzy. I kept asking myself, did I do what I thought I just did. In hindsight it really was a great day, a turning point if you will in some sort of way. It's kind of hard to explain other than you've made it clear to yourself that indeed you've "made it."
Looking back and remembering the angst of spending that kind of coin I realize that I was ready for that purchase at that point in my life, this I attribute to many things but mostly the fact that I have absolutely no buyers remorse about the purchase, none, zippo, zilch, nada. It was a great and memorable day.
