Welcome to TSF ! Definitely Sub owners are more engaged here than for any other model. Nothing wrong with that but probably the reason why Subs tend to win most of these polls.

A YG DayDate on President is the true iconic Rolex - bar none.

A black dial Submariner might be next. Hulks, WG Bluesies, TT Subs, etc - cool but not iconic.

Two Tone DJ with Champagne dial right up there too.

The TT DJ is the most iconic Rolex. That is what got me to buy one.

Iconic does not mean most popular IMO. Therefore i vote for the SS Daytona! How can that NOT be on your list???

I should have included the Daytona. It absolutely is an iconic. I don't believe most iconic, but, yes, iconic nonetheless.

For better or worse when people think of Rolex they think of James Bond's sub.

Sea-dweller and Submariner.
The Sea-Dweller is the Daddy of them all.

IMHO the DJ TT is the most iconic Rolex but for me it will always be the Sub! Cheers,

Asked a couple people around my work place. Most common response was TT DJ champaign dial, 9/10 described the fluted bezel and jubilee bracelet, and cyclops. Before last year, that is what I also thought of whenever rolex was mentioned, which is why I always thought of it as an old man's watch. Then I met the LVc and fell in love with the brand.

Here is how you can answer this question in the public sense.. Find 10 people (non wis) show them pictures of all the Rolex line-up and photoshop out the logos and ask them to tell you which one is a Rolex. I guarantee you it will be the YG DD 99% of the time.

The DJ tt with champagne dial 16233 is THE icon when the general public thinks of an old guy wearing a rolex. But the SUB is close second

Thanks for that "real life poll." My question is why is it so different for WIS and everyday people?
