I really was an Oyster guy but now that I see Mrs 1601 with Jubilee . . . my mind is changing . . .

I generally think they look older and a bit out of date, especially in two-tone.
trends come and go, but I wouldn't have one. |

Love the jubilee bracelet, both old style and super jubilee. I love the president bracelet, too. Wish they made it in stainless steel though.

The jubilee is more comfortable in my opinion plus it doesn't show scratches or marks the way the oyster does. On the other hand it can be more susceptible to stretch and does come off a little more dressy. I own both oyster and jubilee and both are great.

Looks great on a Lady Datejust
Just bought a Datejust with a jubilee bracelet for my wife on our 20th anniversary. Looks fine, I can tell you.

I love super jubilee. I like the way it feels, enjoy the way it looks, and fits me better than oyster. Less stuffy looking than oyster too IMHO.

I think is more of an age thing, at least with me. When I got my first Rolex (Pepsi GMT) I couldn't stand the jubilee bracelets, because they looked like they were made for older folks. Also, I thought that on sports models like the subs, GMT's, etc, the Oysters looked better. Well, it has been a while, and I am almost 50, and I'd have to say that the Jubilee bracelets have grown on me, so let that be my .02 cents.
Cheers!! |

I have said this before but will do it again. When I first bought my sub (17 years ago), I thought the jubilee was girly and old mannish like others have said. I am 49 now and have a 36mm DJ with super jubilee. I did not like it like I thought I would at first but now love it. I have variety. I did not like the fact that I had to change links often to accommodate for wrist swelling as temps change throughout the day. I am cool with it now though. I love the comfort and look of the bracelet. It has never pinched my hairs that I know of. I realize now that I have dropped some weight that I am not having to change out the links so much either.

I only like the CPL stainless Jube, everything else I think looks too "classic". Do I like it better than the oyster bracelet?? Maybe not.

A semi stretched out jubilee feels like silk.

Nice watch, I have one of those too.
I like either one and it depends on the watch. I will say this, if one catches the sun's rays just right on a Jubilee bracelet it shimmers like diamonds even if it needs a new some cleaning. |

I have a jubilee on my SS DJ and an Oyster on my Tudor Sub. Love having both and don't like one more than the other. I do consider the jubilee to be dressier and the oyster to be sportier, and in that sense I like the way each goes with its respective watch. If the jubilee is more feminine then I say vive la difference!

Not a fan of the jubilee, looks too 'busy' against the simple Rolex watch case...

My GMT is my favorite watch, in part because of the jubilee:

Prefer the oyster on a sub or GMT, but the jubilee makes the datejust to me. I don't like dj's on oysters.
