Remember Rolex is a great watch with great brand recognition but their models appeal to all different diversities of people. Although most of us would not be interested in or even afford the leopard there is a market for it. Word up!

Anything (the Leopard) that outrageous goes from being an offence against good taste to being just a really 'fun' item. You could see that on Elvis or Liberace, couldn't you.
It would look great on a lot of beautiful show-biz women.
Makes me smile.

I can see Jonny Depp wearing that one as well and on him it will look great, all though proabaly anything will look good on Jack Sparrow. . "There should be a captain on there some where" lol but on most it would be an attempt to draw attention to your wealth status

I used to be in the "not a fan" category when it comes to the Leopard Daytona but I since looked at it quite a few times and it grew on me. Nowadays when I look at one I actually get to think it's actually a very nice watch (just like the Rainbow Daytona) and though it's not the next one on my list if my collection ever reaches that point I could see myself buying one and wearing it. It sure isn't for everybody but I cannot say I find it ugly (quite the opposite now).

Well the "not so good design moments" will depend on the people who look at them, wouldn't it? I'm sure a lot of people find them pretty beautiful. When it comes to what one finds beautiful and ugly, it's always down to that person's opinion and tastes.

Personally I'd see a lot of people wearing them (myself included, like I posted above) and the attempt to draw attention to one's wealth status wouldn't be my thought if I ever saw one on somebody's wrist. Frankly I think most people would do that with any car, clothes brand, watch or jewelry, it doesn't have to be very flashy and in fact (to me, at the very least) I've seen many more people myself who believed in status symbols with simpler watches than that.

Some will always try to show others how wealthy and successful they are, they don't need the Leopard Daytona or the diamond dial Day-Date for that and I'm sure those haven't been created for that purpose. In fact, I think Rolex uses such lines and publicity for the Submariner C or the GMT-IIc much more than their more blingy models.

Presumably these are 'aftermarket' and not mainstream Rolex products!
