"However, the black face Daytona is BEAUTIFUL to look at! When I pick it up I just can't stop staring at its beauty."

You answered your own question.

Both are beautiful, but I think the Blnr is more useful to you as you travel a lot. Daytona is nice but how often you'll use the chronograph? I have a chrono watch but seldom use it's function. Gmt2c Blnr gets my vote.

BLNR...I had the black dial Daytona for 2 years and recently flipped it for the BLNR as I was never in love the lack of lume on the Daytona and am anticipating a new SS model in the next couple of years.

IMHO, if you like the current Daytonas I would suggest going back to the 16520 and having a Zenith on the wrist = money in the bank for sure!

I'd rather buy a beautiful watch i'd look at very often over a more funtional watch of which functions i rarely use.

I agree. Let's be fair. All these "functions" are "wants". At the end a 10 $ fossil can do the same function trick. Rolex is jewelry and looks are a must in that category. IMO

Good luck, if the size of the Daytona is right for you I imagine that will steal your heart.

The Daytona had charmed you because of its beauty NOT its function. You should buy the one you can't stop looking at.
I'm with Judy....but then again, I'm very partial to Daytonas

i am debating this myself. Leaning towards a black dial daytona. but for the money, BLNR can't go wrong. good luck.

If you've never owned a Daytona you need one before the BLNR.

I had the same options. Went with BLNR, as it comes in handy when travelling. I plan to add a daytona to my collection in the future!

Unless one is traveling a lot and with large swings in time zones, I think the utility of a GMT function tends to get overstated. I travel a lot for work, but never struggle adding or subtracting 5-7 hours from local time. Get the watch that appeals to you more whether that be the BLNR or Daytona.
