Thank you for an amazing review.
After reading it, I'm sure the 5164 will be my next purchase. |

Is the rotor as noticeable on the 5164 as, say, the 5167 or 5711? I know it's the same base movement, but wasn't sure if the thicker case and/or movement modifications changed the sound of it...

I'm a little late to the party but I really enjoyed the review. Great pictures. I aspire to have a 5167 some day but I may have to save a little longer for this bad boy! Thanks

Yes. Same rotor and same noise. But, I never minded it on my 5167 or my 5711.

Awesome review mike. Thanks for taking the time to write that up. Totally agree with uou on the watch hovering on your wrist instead of wrapping around it. Surprisingly I think that was one of the things I didn't like. Also totally agree with the push buttons not being an issue at all and the date wheel totally useless. If funds were unlimited I would still have one. Enjoy the hell out of yours

Mike, is the 5164 that much thicker than the 5167? on the 360 degrees on Patek website, the 5164 seems to be a good 50% thicker than the 5167, only tried this one in real and it is very thin, by the way does anyone know if the 5167 is the same thickness as the 5711 or 5712 for example? I am seriously thinking about getting one in the future, I am secretly hoping that they will release a 5167 in SS with blue dial, that would really do it for me, I would get one as soon as possible if they did, but if they don't I will probably consider getting the 5167R in 1 or 2 years.
Thanks in advance for your response |

I bought one in part based on this review, and its a spectacular watch. I don't know how the thinness compares to '67, but I wouldn't want a sport watch to be much thinner/lighter than it is.
Great watch. |
