Did you score the discount for the AK there? I've never had any luck with FH? Oh and think you have your wires crossed I didn't source the BLNR at £5000 that was member Swisscheeses! Best I could locate one for was £5400 so I'd also like the heads up on his AD |

Anyone know BLNR prices and tax situation in Tokyo? Have a colleague travelling there in a few days and might ask him to pick one up if price is good. Yen has weakened considerably against the pound so may be a bargain.

I was in an AD today to finally purchase one. I was offered a 5% discount and declined. The same AD offered me 8% off three weeks earlier and I passed. I've waited a year already. Another several weeks won't hurt me for an extra 3%...

awesome, thanks for that, by my calculation using current exchange rates and excluding the 8% tax (which you can claim back in store if you fill out the paperwork) the watch can be had for £4361 or $6978.752!
but only good if you're going to a country with 0% tax like Dubai.....! |

11-11-2014: $8950. No tax. At an AD in NYC, USA.
FYI: It was not up front in the display case. At first, they told me it was out of stock. Then someone said, "wait, we have one." And out from "in back" there it was, "for sale." I took it... needless to say. Had it shipped to me In NJ and was there via Fed Ex less than 12 hours later. Prior to this purchase, at a high-end mall in NJ (USA), same price $8950 was quoted but was told i had to put my name on a waiting list and they wanted a deposit. Then, 5th avenue Rolex Boutique (RSC), they quoted same price ($8950) but said, none in stock... the last guy "got lucky"... we had one in stock.... but put your name on waiting list (this time, no deposit required), and we'll call you when we have it (probably 2-3 weeks). meanwhile. I am staring at this beauty on my wrist right now.... |

I got mine through Tourneau at retail $8,900 plus tax came out to $9,600. Didn't have the intention of buying it but when the guy said they just got one in and wasn't even in the system yet, I jumped all over it. Love it more and more every day.

Wow the popularity of the BLNR has not wavered at all, if anything demand has increased since the BLRO came out with no SS.
The ADs in my area are either sold out or only giving a nominal discount of 5% or less. |

ADs here in Scotland generally don't have them.
From time to time I spot one in a window but not often. Ones I have spoken to will do a small amount of 0% finance but don't seem to have to or want to discount. I have an excellent relationship with a local AD and secured a small discount but this is not normal for a BLNR so I believe and was only down to relationship. |

Not sure you can find one in Japan. At least when I was in Tokyo late Aug of this year, I never saw a BLNR in a store. We hit multiple watch stores too.

I got blnr in Niagara Falls, Canada, in March , before canadian price increase ( rolex calls it currency fluctuation adjustment) and i paid $CAD 8,100 which was equivalent to $7,230 in USD at the time
I sold it a month later for $7,900 but now i miss it and thinking of fliping my exp ii for it I am on waiting list at AD in NE ohio and my price will be 15% off retail plus $100 to ship it out of state to save on tax Ill buy it regardless what i decide because it looks like i can make at least $500 should i decide to sell it, judging from pricing on the forum. |

Got mine 3 weeks ago from an AD in Palo Alto CA for $8950. No discount but was served a glass of champagne while it's being fitted on me. :-) I was on the waiting list for one month with a deposit of $500. Wait was well worth it though.

AD's here will not discount stainless steel or two tone models, period. The only way to get a discount on a Rolex here through an AD is if the watch is entirely made of a precious metal. I managed a 12% discount on a 116509 with a retail price of $37,450 USD, but it was nothing short of a miracle to get them to do it. This is also at my girlfriends store where I have gotten some great discounts without any haggling on merchandise from just about any vendor other than Rolex. I have been told numerous times by her that Rolex sets the terms for allowable discounts. I would imagine that Rolex has the same rules universally, so anyone who can get a steel or steel/gold model discounted at all should consider it a very good deal.

Seems like international is the way to go. I got a great deal in Munich last month. Wasn't on display but I asked and they had one left in the back. Managed to get 5% off sticker as well. Since I reside outside of the EU I was also able to recoup 14% of VAT back onto my credit card at the airport when I left. All in it was ~$7500.
Same thing went for most luxury goods btw. My wife found Chanel, Prada and LV goods at far below US prices. |
