1603.
21st Birthday. 35 odd years ago. Worn every day since except the two years lost it. Was playing guitar on the couch one night and it was bugging me so i took it off and left it on the cushion beside me. Fell down behind cushion. Rather bad mood for a while. Never told SWMBO. Sold the couch and decided to check for change and guitar picks. Voila! Back on wrist. Now shopping for a YM. TT or 18k. Larry |

Mine was after a decision to sell some things and gather the money. It won't ever leave my collection by choice...

40th present from my father-in-law. Classic TT DJ champagne face. Feels a bit small now on me, but I wouldn't sell it.

My 1680 was originally my fathers, he and my mom had it restored and was given to me for my college graduation present. For the first several years of owning it I wore it like any other watch just beating up. I have much more of an appreciation of what it is now, and come to find out whoever did the work on the dial didn't do a very good job since the markers were repainted too large on the dial. No matter the watch is priceless to me being it was a gift from my parents.

I bought my 16710 after receiving my first substantial raise. That wasn't really the occasion though, it was just the means. I still have it and will never sell it.

It was a present from my Mother. Not for anything in particular, but just because as we had gone through some pretty rough times as a family and things were finally looking up. Still have it to this date. Received over 10 years ago and will never part with it.

Kind of, it was a couple months after I bought my, now, wife an engagement ring and about two weeks after I proposed. I figured I deserved something a little fancy too

Great thread!
My TT datejust came from my dad when I started to get the watch bug. It wasn't an occasion, it was just "Here take it, I never wear it" Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

No special occasion just the right time for me. Regrettably traded it on but now wish I'd kept it

No, not really. I tried to link buying my watch to some special occasions, but it felt a bit artificial. I just really wanted a high quality watch, I had some spare cash and my girlfriend actually encouraged me for a change to get a nice watch! So what could I do..
