This is a prime example of why Rolex is Rolex. All these years later of constant daily wearing, with the attention of the RSC, any Rolex can be made to nearly new. Name another item in our world where the product's integrity and accessability (price new for that watch was probably $4000) stands the test of time.

I started reading the thread from the top, as I always do, and got to JJ's post before I realized how old it was!

Anyways nice watch.

Me too, had to check how I got into a thread from '08. Great restoration. I wonder if the service is the same now. Looking forward to getting my watch back from RSC in a week or so.

Wow...looks great, but for my money, I probably would have just put the $$ towards a new one.

The important thing is, you're happy.

Yeah, I stopped at the $420 for a basic service and then checked the
date on this old thread ... it's north of $600 now, right?

Just curious as to why the "Invoice Date" = 04/30/2008

Doc Brown is proud!

Side note, I have no problem with the $2400 service bill, but I have problem with RSC not returning the "replaced parts". Seriously, didn't the owner paid for the original bracelet. Now he paid for a 2nd brand new bracelet, but where is the original one? If Rolex is keeping it, then I would want the price of the original bracelet to be a credit on the bill. You know what I am saying?

This makes me feels like I am more "renting" then "buying" ...

Yeah, that bracelet "trade" seems fishy to me also.

Ya know, the watch that was returned from Rolex is gorgeous, no doubt about it. But it makes me wonder. I picked up a preowned 16030 and had it serviced for about the same total price as the amount the OP paid to RSC just for the service and band. Here is mine below and it looks almost identical to the one from RSC. That begs the question if it is really a good deal price wise for what the OP got?

Wow I just noticed the date of the thread myself. Great looking watch none the less and then great thing about it is that the money the OP spent then ensures that its beautiful and rock solid 6 years later now. I've put that much into making my P serial 16610 mint again. I didn't have a fake bracelet but my original 93250 was beginning to not please me with the stretch so I bought a new one from an outside source and had Rikki D slap it on and because I didn't use the RSC I now have both. I used my original buckle to mount onto a leather band I found but my new SEL 93250 feels and looks just oh so good I can't bring myself to wear the leather one yet. Anyway sorry for going off topic a bit, its not my thread but I enjoyed reading it.
