I had this...

Traded it for this...

Then I went through a "panic attack" and sold off several watches to bank some money, including the DJ II.

After a while, I calmed down and decided to add a Rolex back into the mix...

I am happy to say I currently have my favorite of the three.

The NDSubC is one of the greatest watches Rolex has ever made... So much so, when I chose a 10 year anniversary watch with a much larger budget, I chose the NDSubC because I knew it would still love it 20, 30, 40 years from now ..

I bought the DJII blue sticks for a special milestone. While it is a truly impressive and outstanding watch, it lacked ruggedness and versatility. I ended up buying a SubC to complete the collection a year later and would recommend the same as it rounds off a simple collection. If I had to chose one, I would keep the SubC.

I don't think it's a matter of opinion. They are Rolex's official names for the two watches, as well.

And no, I would not trade my Sub for a DJ II

+1 - I started with the DJII and after 2 years of saving and "deciding" between Sub, GMTc II and GMTII ended up with a 40mm ExpII. If I had started on the sport side as you did, would have ended up with a DJII at some point...
