Well here it is; apparently these bezels are much different then the past hence the high price. The same fellow is charging me $50 for a dial swap on my 1803.

Thanks!!! Of course I'm a realist and I know it's the same watch. I really like the watch more than I did and I liked it before so that's a really good thing.

I tallied the comments out of curiosity; in divergence from the vote, the comments were 28 for smooth and 21 for fluted. Interesting results.
