I doubt it. AD's can never match a Grey Dealer price. And some only value the price they paid. Not the service.

The proof is, one bought a watch cheaper, thus unsized, then brags when an AD charges to put it right. (No offense to anyone).

AD's and Grey Dealers don't have the same customers profiles in the end.

We, TRF members are not the 100% Rolex customer profile. We are passionate about the product and brand.

When i use to work as a salesman in a Dealership dealing Porsche, I would love to chat with "forum type customer" (as we would call them) but never almost sell anything (they are very knowledgeable on the
product, it's history and on how getting my products cheaper).

I ended up going to Home Depot and bought a $15 precision screwdriver set. Removed the link in about one minute. They did not have Loctite so I'll order some. As you all said, it's very easy with the right tools. And no worrying about someone else scratching the screw or bracelet (lots of horror stories noted).

Good move. Just make sure you get that loctite...I adjusted a bracelet and skipped it. Next thing you know, I'm catching my SeaDweller after it fell from my wrist in the pool.

Ordered from amazon: Loctite 38653 222 Purple Low Strength Thread Locker Tube - 6 ml

Good for you. Glad you did not pay the crooks.

I was charged £20.00 in the UK. I bought the Sub at a different place. Happy to pay the cost. Why should it be free ? Also if they damaged it whilst doing the work then I have a come back against them as they have charged.

Had a pin screw come loose the other day....

Noticed it before it got out of hand... worried... found this at the local hardware store.

Problem solved. Whew.

Most non-ridiculous AD's will do it for free
Rolex NYC will do it for free if your watch is legit - they do check the numbers
and if they see that the watch is in some kind of a "dispute" (sic) they keep it.
Neighborhood watchmakers charge $10 to remove a link.

As a Rolex dealer I can confirm any reputable deal should do this for free :)
