So you could buy it at Costco, sans warranty. I don't think there is any repair that RSC could do that would cost more than $8,000, so even if Costco didn't warrant it, you'd have a hard time overpaying.

Another Rolex spotted at Costco
I think much of the silly comments - including mine - are simply because these threads keep appearing.
Yes. Rolex watches are sometimes sold at Costco. it's a fact...each week a thread with a pic of a DJ or PM model or whatever in a Costco display gets posted. Maybe a sticky saying hear ye hear ye TRFers...an occasional Rolex can be found at COSTCO - is in order. Move along now...😆 |

I saw a diamond at Costco for $45,000. It was actually a good deal for someone in the market for a diamond of that size and quality.
I don't see a difference in buying from Costco or a grey dealer. Their return policy is almost second to none. I love watches but will save the moneys any chance I get. That's why I buy from trusted sellers on this site. 😎 |

Funny how some people get offended by information and want to suppress the fact that Rolex and other watches show up at Costco. As a consumer and a person who loves the brand, I want to know everything I can about Rolex, including the retail side of it. I want to know more about the inside scoop at ADs, at Trusted Sellers here, and in the grey market...all of it. Information serves a purpose whether you like the content of that information or not.

Maybe you should explain your perceptions as I don't get much more from you than your passive aggressiveness and indirect innuendos. What's your beef?

For me it's not about where you get your watch its what you do with it after you get it.

Omega sued Costco for gray market dealing . . . and won in the U.S. Supreme Court.

What I meant, and I'm sure you knew, that I think it's lame that you would bring back an 11-year-old kayak to get a refund/exchange. The last time you brought it up in another thread at least a dozen people said the same thing.

Costco. One of my only stocks that's up this year. Bought it on my phone (eTrade app) with my thumb (Touch ID) half by accident while having many scotches. Remembered only the next day after I got the confirmation. Glad I did.

They had a gold Daytona (black or white, can't remember) at mine the last time I was in, and the time before I was in it was a blue faced DJ with a smooth bezel if I recall. Looked nice. I've seen others in the past, but they usually aren't there long.

"The Court deadlocked 4-4, which means that the appeals court ruling against Costco stays in place, though the case sets no new high court precedent because it ended in a tie. The tie was possible because Justice Elena Kagan recused herself in the case." Everyone wants to be the smartest guy in the room, but no one can be bothered to read. The reason you may still see watches at Costco is because a split-decision is only binding in the lower circuit where it originated. But far be it for me to explain a split decision to TRF's resident 1L.

You better believe it's lame! Can you imagine if every consumer in our country did that with every product? If you don't see how unbelievably remarkably lame that is I can't help you. Actually I might just take that back. Lame is a terrible description for what this is. It's immoral!!!!!!!!! Regardless of their policy. You can call me self righteous all you want. It's my opinion. Knowing how you are I absolutely would not sell you any of my products. If this pisses you off ...... Good. Hopefully you won't return a 10-year-old mattress to them.

it's an off-the-wall concept...what would Costco do with a bunch of used Rolexes being that they only sell new/discounted products? the potential abuse of such a lenient return policy would pretty much spell fiscal doom in the long run (for Costco). |

The fact that Costco has been caught selling fake luxury goods in the past would make me very nervous personally, while agreeing with your mindset.
