Weeeellllll, from a woman's perspective...

I have a very nice Rolex, but no man has ever flirted with me over the watch, but I have had some guys who would be my slave to drive one or both of my cars :)

And yes, they are mine, my husband has his own cars to drive :)

Yes, this one was funny. I kept reading posts and wanting to respond, then I saw my own old responses.

I had a woman checking out my SD at the Slurpee machine last night. That's kind of the same thing. Maybe I need a cyclops to get more attention.

Most of the time when someone notices mine they have a Sub or Sea-Dweller on also. I usually tell them that mine is old and only goes to 2000 ft. I always felt mine was a "lesser" of a watch. But not now.

Well, it's kinda sad when the only thing that someone gets excited about you is the watch you're wearing!

I wouldn't put too much stock into any female who's greatest concern is the size of your....wallet.

Most people use what they have to gain the attention of others. The trick is maintaining their interest in you as a person.

Out of all my watches the Deepsea gets noticed the most or should i say it gets the most comments. I think it is the size or the crystal and the ceramic bezel.

I might start wearing one on both arms at once to double my fun.

IWC Boutique Lady...

invited me in and offered Perrier, Chocolate, Gourmet Coffee, shown me the Platinum Big Pilot, Top Gun and the 7-Day BP. On the way out she packed the IWC Year Book & a couple of Watch Magazines.

That was when I had my GMT-IIc on while looking at the boutique window last week.

I saw a woman with a solid gold Daytona last week. We were at a wedding together. I said "Beautiful Daytona" she just replied, Oh, thanks and moved on. Next day she had on another brand w/ tons of diamonds. I don't think she really cared about watches...they are just jewelry.

Hi Ty,

I'm curious, did you mention this to your girlfriend when she came back? Perhaps this woman was a hooker/gold digger? After all, most women would be hard-pressed to walk up to a stranger and use the "F word," not exactly a class act. (Fun perhaps, but declasse) Faith

Assuming this isn't just a nice little pulling everyone's collective chain type of story, she was either a hooker or a gold digger, or else she was very very drunk and has a good eye for timepieces.

Personally, outside of jewelers and a few guys that halfway know about watches, I've yet to have anyone make any comments about my Daytona (too soon to tell on the Sub), although there was one guy at a Starbucks once who appeared to be checking it out--at least I hope it was the watch he was checking out!!

Haven't been on the forum in a while, so this thread is new to me. Any chance she was a "working girl" Not to burst your bubble at all man, just they know what to look for.

By "working girl" I assume you mean the oldest profession in the world?

I had no idea they still had shepards in Texas.
