Some parts get updated over the years, this is a minor update that makes it easier to adjust the beat error.

If you press against a round stud holder there is more risk of your tool slipping away and you accidentally hitting the hairspring, the bigger flatter holder is just easier to adjust.

Many parts in the Rolex movements have had minor updates over the years, but it is still the same movement and movement number.

Are there any unofficial service instructions or strip down and reassemble guides for hobbyists for cals like 3030 3130 3135 3185 etc?

I know the official ones are only available to qualified watchmakers, but finding out detail like the balanced bridge on the 14060M is the most rewarding part of the hobby! 👌

The Wristwatch Handbook etc are great but at the same time it would be even better to have all the details for the watch on your wrist.
