The years of denial. I didn't want, or need, or couldn't afford a Rolex. It's just an overpriced watch, a Timex Quartz tells better time. Etc. etc. It was only at age 64 that I allowed myself to accept that I really wanted one. I am shocked at the satisfaction that my tiny new collection, Tudor BBB and Rolex DJ 16233 has given me. Now I want more. Oh the wasted years!

Missed out on some vintage pieces a pepsi, root beer and a sub, but didn't really know enough at the time, so cant regret it :)

I didn't understand the watch market when I thought about a 16710 about 4 years ago and did not get it. Now I regret my hesitation. Hindsight is always clear!

Not getting on the Daytona C list earlier with my AD. Still living vicariously through everyone's great pics and incoming threads here while I continue to wait.

Other than that small remorse, I consider myself pretty lucky.

1. Should have purchased one sooner.
2. Should have purchased the Deep Sea Blue instead of the Deep Sea Black.
3. Should have purchased Rolex instead of other watch companies.

I sold a full set mint Daytona 16520 floating cosmograph with the porcelain dial to a forum member. Always regretted it.

Bought a SS Datejust for my first Rolex. Passed on the Explorer. Wish I hadn't passed.

Wish I had used my savings as a paperboy on a Rolex or two...wouldn't have taken much back then....

Chaps

I can safely say - je ne regrette rien.

Regards

Mick

PS I am wearing my Daytona today and thought I would just bring a bit of class to the discussion. Next time I will go for Latin.

No regrets. Just traded three 16 year old (originally owned) Rolexes for three new Rolex watches. Loved the originally purchased Rolexes and love my new Rolexes.

Similar regrets to a few other members on this thread : regret wasting my time with Tags, Breitlings in my early days of watch lovery.

My only regret is trying to ignore the brand when I first got into watches.

I regretted letting my 114060 go but sorted that out today in getting another. If I have any it is buying a RG SkyDweller on leather. Just wasn't for me, I lost a ton of cash in flipping too albeit it helped get my grail
