I'm not a steel fanatic. I think there are several functional materials for watches, from titanium to ceramic. Once you go PM, you cross the threshold from tool to jewelry, and I think diamonds are also in that category, but I have no problem with those wanting to wear jewelry. I'm just not sure it's fair for some contributors to seemingly disparage the OP's potential diamond choice as "feminine" compared to precious metal. The OP should just buy what he loves.

Keep the Daytona - such a unique dial.

I'm not a fan of diamonds on a watch either, especially on the bezel!

The meteorite dial on your Daytona is no longer provided by the factory. That dial is perhaps the best looking Daytona dial ever. Diamond studded dials are a dime a dozen at pawn shops in the Bronx.

Well, since you are asking opinions...

I wouldn't wear that D-D if it was free, so that's out.

You don't want the Daytona *and* the YM because they look too similar. I get that. The YM is your favorite, so don't sell that. Why not trade the Daytona for a different looking Daytona, like the YG Daytona with leather band and Paul Newman dial (sorry, don't remember reference #)? Cool watch, still a Daytona, very different look.

If not that one, then a different Daytona that you prefer.

No one was disparaging OP. Some of us just think that diamond DD looks feminine. At least in the American culture. But certainly if OP likes it he should buy it and wear it proudly.

Should I flip my meteorite Daytona for ?

No on that flip for sure. Meteorite Daytona is . Blue dial ym is always a great option or you could always add an EXP II

Meteorite Daytona is one of the nicest ones IMO. I wouldnt sell it, but if you dont like it anymore and want to move on, then you should.

I would keep the Daytona, if the that DD is your only choice. I don't see anything wrong with the diamond markers and bezel. My very first Rolex was a DJ on which I added the diamond bezel, because I was into wearing diamond jewelry. I am no longer into wearing diamonds, but I can appreciate the look and style. I just think the WG and silver dial is along the same lines of what you'd be giving up. Also, if you gave up the Masterpiece at 39mm, I hardly think you'd be satisfied with the DD at 36mm.

Well done, the Meteorite is one of the few watches you can talk to normal people about without them wanting to kill themselves inside two minutes.

Your money, your choice. Whilst in general terms I like the DD, the one shown looks a bit too feminine for my taste.

The meteorite is a special piece, and makes a great complement to the YM, IMO.
