I was on T-Mobile for several years. Great price, but service is spotty. In buildings, outside of the major cities, dropped calls, etc. Not a big deal until I started traveling. I had no service in hotels and on the road. My colleague had Verizon and always had a signal. The price was only $40 bucks more so I made the switch.

I now have Verizon and no need for a separate data package. Can use my phones anywhere in NA without roaming and can use my hotspot as well. Rollover data from month to month as well. Much better option for me and where I travel.
My dad checked the numbers for our phones with Verizon and they aren't compatible with their network. I'd rather not replace a 6 plus and a 7 just to be with Verizon. I do love the jetpack, but can get that prepaid.

My online comparison found T-Mobile the best value, and our devices work on their network, but there is no coverage at my home. AT&T is pricey, but our devices will work on their network, and there is coverage at home.

Interesting. I thought all iPhones are now compatible with both networks. I came from AT&T and brought by phone with me no problem.

We bought our phones in the UAE (GSM network). Apparently the CDMA radio doesn't work on these phones.

Tmobile doesn't have low end spectrum that is needed to better penetrate buildings. That said WiFi calling has filled in fine. If I'm in a place that doesn't have Tmobile towers at all I roam on AT&T (for free).
