Wearing a leopard speedo and over the calf black socks at the beach is a neon sign. Diamond markers won't be noticed by anyone other than a WIS.

I agree. Although I would add that I love a diamond dial on just about any colour.

although I am not a fan of diamonds for men, I wouldn't hesitate to buy one, especially with a rhodium dial. Wow, that is a nice looking combo!

Love this one!

I like them on mine, with the MOP dial. The dial is very clean w/o the minute markers too. I think that element is unique to the MOP.

The platona with diamonds looks great, in pictures and in person.

This DD40 may be my favorite Rolex.
I've got a mental block about pm Rolex, but if I let it go, this would be very nice.

However, in traditional Chinese culture wearing diamonds was said to lead to rigidity and stubborness, so beware!

Let's not be too rough on Mick, he's doing what everyone else on this thread, on this website is doing - expressing his opinion, only a bit more bluntly than most.

And Mick, in Brooklyn we call it 'couszheen'. And there are plenty out there who know what I mean.

I really love my Platinum Day Date with diamond markers, and I regret selling my DD40 black dial with diamond markers.

I truly don't think you notice it, and if you like it- that's all that matters.

"Flashy" is in the eye of the beholder. If diamond indices appeal to you, go for it. I'm not personally a fan of diamonds on sports models but some variations of DD and DJ Are pretty striking.

Diamond dials on the DayDate and DateJust look very nice and classy on men IMO. If you love it, buy what you love. Diamond dials IMO are not flashy as the diamonds are subltle. The diamond dial is a very clean looking dial in my opinion. Every watch shown here with diamond dials look amazing and is pure class on the wrist. If you love the simple diamond indices, go for it .

Platona, 5711p and 5170p are among the few references I like with diamonds.
More of stick diamond that blends in and is less flashy.

For me only baguette diamond indices work, as they remain discrete and not so bling bling

I'm inclined to agree with a lot of what has been said. I think they look amazing on the D/D & D/j but on the sport models I prefer the plain dials. As an owner of a Daytona & Sub with the blue sunburst dial I personally wouldn't have a diamond dial with the exception of the Platinum Daytona

Diamonds can be fine in certain situations, ive seen out the wild a iced out day date, which was way too much for me. Also a YG DD with the diamond bezel which was not for me, but at the time it was not as loud as you think it would be.

Just do like the black dial datejust 36 with diamond markers, thats a great looking watch.
