You will find over time that this is probably the perfect size for your wrist. Mine is about the same, and even though I love my Sub and GMT, it feels pretty good to go back every once in a while to a classic 36mm . Enjoy this great watch!

Congrats! Here's mine!
Some reasons this and its variations are the best: 1. a bit smaller is elegant and looks great on everyone. See photos of President Eisenhower. 2. 36 is comfortable 3. You have the date and the easy-link adjustment, which I use all the time, but you don't have any "tool" features that many folks rarely or never use. Nothing is superfluous. 4. The modern superlative chronometers are unbelievable machines. Mine runs about +0.3 spd now. |

If you love the look of the watch and plan on keeping it, it was a killer deal on the price. I just bought a 36 and I have what I would call below average size wrists. I am not a fan of the current oversize fashion craze. Well done.

That is a great looking watch, 36mm fits my 7 inch wrist well. DateJusts are like a baseball diamond, after 100 years, it's still the perfect size.
And that dial, very distinctive. The DateJust provides so many interesting variations. Only you know if you'll be happy in the long run, but I still like my 116234 as much as ever, five years on.

Thanks! I do plan on keeping it, and in a few decades passing it to my daughter. I'm not a flipper (though I prob should flip some in my collection), I always buy to keep but always try to get a fair deal regardless. Thanks ! Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Agree! I've come to appreciate the comfort factor more and more as I get older. And the accuracy of modern rolexes these past few years just amazes me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Thanks Jack, hope to say the same in five years. Maybe I'll wear mine Sunday when I take my son to his first Yankees game, the most perfect baseball diamond imho. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

It looks fine to me. Larger in sport watches is fine, but I think a 36 DJ has such great proportions, and I don't think it looks too small on you.

Congrats! That's a very nice Date Just. My wrists measure right at 7.5 inches, and I wear my 36mm Explorer 114270 all the time. FWIW, I think you made the right call.

The 36mm men's datejust has been the biggest seller in the history of Rolex to date.
I don't think this will change in the near future. Looks good to me.

It looks a little big on your wrist to be honest, but I like it.

Anyways not to derail OPs thread watch looks great! I had my heart set on a GMTc. Tried on a 40mm Explorer II polar..and Datejust 36 white dial fluted bezel on an oyster. Long story short the 36mm Datejust I think fits perfectly on smaller wrists |

It looks well balanced. Larger watches give me an unbalanced look. It is a way of telling another person "Look at my watch not me! You are the show-not the watch. Great watch.

Yes. Yes. In my humble opinion, its a beautiful piece, well fitted and well suited. Also in my opinion, masculinity is not defined by what you have on your wrist, but rather your character and aura. Lastly, if you are comfortable and content with the watch, the opinion of the masses should not be a factor.
