I understand, sucks man... years ago we used to park in a garage by our house, car came back one day with a gigantic dent, garage took no responsibility. At $450 a month to park, we just decided to park on the street. Months later some drunken ******* swiped 6 cars, ours was the last that got swiped and originally left off the police report... luckily my wife has a cousin who worked for another precinct, called that precinct, and got us on the report. The guys insurance evntuallly paid.
Drunken delivery driver fell into this same car on a bike a few months later. Last car was a little luckier and swiped only once. Newest car is only 6 months old but already has some minor bumper damage - I figure at $600 a month for parking an SUV, cheaper to just take the damage, while being easier to park closer to the house than the garage (which will prob damage it anyways). All of this for about 4-5k miles a year. If anyone feels the pain of some ******* not caring about damaging your property, I certainly understand your pain. Sucks Seth, but karma catches everyone. |

My suggestion, be the vehicle others fear! We had a Rubicon for a while, it was such a liberating feeling driving it and not worrying about anything, snow, potholes, other drivers, etc. Steel bumpers - that 'give back', rock rails protecting door dings, kevlar integrated tires and low cost everything. I have a little 'fun' car right now and I am looking for my 'daily no care' car or truck. |

Sorry to hear Seth, people never cease to amaze me. Sad thing is, it probably could have been easily avoided.

I wonder what the average butch guy on this thread would do if they arrived back at their car to see some tool letting down all four of their tyres.

Last week, renewing commercial liability policies, I realized there was no UM/UIM and Comprehensive & Collision on my 2013 pickup truck. Two years now.
Do I roll the dice and go double or nothing? |

How much closer to a new watch does not having this insurance get you?
