Romans are more in keeping, but the sticks and hands with white lume bring better balance to the white background of the day and date wheels of the DD40.

So white dial - Romans. Champagne dial, sticks.

My first thought was "that opinions are like a$$hole$, everyone's got one." My second thought was that "the Romans are really pretty but I can't see them at night and that gets annoying to me." The third thought is, "what do you want the watch for utility or beauty?"

Would you consider the Romans (which you seem to prefer) on a white dial? Makes them pop more and to me looks more contemporary than gold watch/champagne dial.

I like the look of the Romans too, but it would be nice to be able to read the watch in low light conditions.

I concur with the Roman selection, but I continue to feel the need to emphasize that it doesn't matter a hill of beans what we like.

It's only what you like that matters.

Choice : Roman numerals on quadrant champagne dial if you can find one.

Lume on a high end YG dress watch seems out of place. The lume might better suit the WG DD and give the latter more tool-ish versatility. But that's just my cheap opinion.

Hi Alex. I would go Romans with the champagne. I had the pleasure of handling one and trying it on at the AD and it took every ounce of self control I had to give it back. Now, if you were open to another dial color, I personally like the sticks on the silver motif.

Good luck and happy hunting!

I love the romans. They are the updated roman numerals.
