When not wearing my Rolex it sits in a Watch case on my desk or in a leather coin case that has a leather separator to stop scratching the inside of the bracelet. I use this little coin case (converted to watch case) when traveling and take both watches with me. |

If I had to I'd wear the Apple on my right arm and as a bracelet, don't care if it gets banged up which it probably will.

Always a Rolex day, all that other techie stuff, aside from heart rate, are what phones are for in my opinion.

Rolex or PP on left wrist and Fitbit Flex 2 on right wrist is where I settled on this as well.

Rolex & Apple Watch
I could not make them coexist. I owned an apple watch along with my collection of Rolex. Had it for a few months but it was not getting any wrist time, so I let it go. I did not want to wear it on my right arm, like a Fitbit. That was just not for me. Plus, my iPhone keeps me connected and I did not want any more notifications bothering me, on my wrist. Occasionally my Omega Skywalker gets some love. It’s a tool watch, although digital. Mainly, I enjoy mechanical! ⚙️

I’m too connected with having my phone always with me now. Having the watch would stress me out, being able to be constantly reached via text and email. For reference I’m 35 and like a little freedom from people. My wife wears one, just not for me.

The Apple Watch is strictly for exercise.
The other day I took a walk into town and ended up walking like 7 miles rather than driving since the weather was nice. I wore the Apple Watch. What I realized was that I found myself constantly checking it to see how far I walked, etc. Although I could tell the time, my hr, the miles I walked, how many calories I burned, how many hours I've been standing- there was something very mechanical and unemotional about it. I've done the same thing with a Rolex and it was more relaxing- sure I didn't know my hr or how many miles I walked, but I enjoyed a day out and felt like I bonded with the watch- another trip I made with it. It's also vastly more enjoyable to admire it in the sunlight vs. an Apple Watch. |

I have an iPhone and a Rolex watch with me when I go out for anything. Why should I need a redundant Apple watch with me?

Never saw a use for a smart watch until the series 3 came out and could be used as a stand-alone connected device. I can go for runs/walks without having to worry about a $1000 iPhone falling out of my pocket.

If I need to track my heart rate and daily physical excercise, I would rather to go with the smallest smart wristband rather than full fledge smartwatch. That way I still can wear both mechanic watch and the smart wristband.

I wore a smartwatch only when i sleep, the geeky side of me tells me it's kinda cool to track your sleeping pattern behavior.

My job consists of both office work and field work (environmental sampling/other outdoor activities). I use the Apple watch when I'm out in the field or at the gym/working out. If I'm in the office or in a casual setting/out with friends, I put on one of my luxury pieces.

After a while I grew tired of being so connected all of the time. That’s when I quit wearing my Apple Watch. Now I only use it at trade shows.

I bought an AW series 3 this year. I'm a big Apple fan and really liked the functionality. One thing that bugged me to no end was the need to re-charge it basically every day.
Then I finally bought my first Rolex (DJ36). The following week I sold my Apple watch. For now, I cannot be bothered to wear anything but the DJ. I also pondered wearing both, but dismissed that option immediately. |

Simple. The Rolex is a watch and the Apple is technology junk. Even junk has a use, but is by no means a watch, just disposable junk. Decent enough today, trash tomorrow.
Apple is a joke trying to claim watch supremacy and sales. Steve Jobs would've never been so off target in positioning. It loses them credibility in making such claims. Coming from someone who does like Apple computers, tablets, and phones. |

I assume you have a smart phone? Always a Rolex day in that case. Even Inspector Gadget finds the Apple Watch to be redundant. Tools for jobs. Cycling all my metrics are from Garmin. If I'm curious what my heart rate is while hiking a Rolex and some simple math is pretty accurate and much cheaper than an Apple Watch. Meetings, phone calls, reminders, etc., etc., etc. . . . Smartphone. I'm a big believer in Saint-Expurey's maxim that perfection is attained when there is nothing left to take away.

A whole lot of studies are proving that all this connectivity isn't all the great for us. When I'm home on the West Coast away from work I completely unplug. Phone goes off and it's in a drawer or glovebox to be used only in case of emergency. Drives any girlfriend I might have at the moment insane. But I love being unplugged and need to be free from being connected all the time.

Apple Watch while I work out for HR and Chrono. Then it’s Rolex time.

I wear Rolex on left wrist and my Fitbit HR 2 on the right wrist. If I am in a running event I will wear my Garmin 620 (can't believe it cost over $400+ with HR chest strap) to replace Rolex. I am a big apple fan, but don't like the idea of charging the apple watch everyday. I put my Fitbit on and forget about it and get a reminder that the battery is low in around 5 days. I pre-ordered the Fitbit HR 3 which is finally water proof for swimming. So, I am the geek that wears both at the same time.

The Apple Watch is now my daily - beating out some big luxury brands & models. I like the modern look, well balanced design, finish in steel and the fact that it reduces my need to look at my phone - has alerts, time, weather, fitness and health tracking. I felt Rolex watches look dated and also much prefer to fly under the radar.

I like the Apple Watch it’s just a bit fragile especially in aluminium, then gets expensive for a throwaway product in the other metals.
Also if I wear it I get Rolex guilt Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Ive tried to justify the Apple Watch .. twice .. and found that any smart watch device is something I could live without in all honesty. I love wearing my mechanical watches too much.
For the gym or for running/walking/cycling I use a garmin fitness device and an HRM, I dont need to see my messages or emails on my wrist as I have my phone already on me and never quite understood the "remote access" idea when the main device was already on my person in the first place, and in addition, just how important is that message/email that you need to be checking every 5 minutes ... its that whole "slave to our devices scenario" that I'm pushing back against these days. |

I wear a mechanical watch on the left wrist and a Fitbit on the right. However, the Fitbit is soon to be replaced by a sleep/fitness tracking Oura ring I have ordered.
