Oh well, even with Rolex there is always room for improvement.

It will be interesting to see if Rolex has listened to its enthusiasts asking for more 'red' on the dials to see if they respond with anything along those lines at Basel this year.

Glad it all worked out for you. It does look authentic but you just don't know unless you pull the back off it which is exactly what you did. Enjoy your watch for many years to come. Thanks.
