Great question. Bond should wear a Rolex. Normally, I would say the Sub but Bond is such a globe trotter. I would say he should wear the Batman GMT or any GMT.

Bond going back to the Rolex brand is a simple matter. The ball is in Rolex's court. All they have to do is pony up more money than Omega.

Depends on who is playing Bond as the next Bond may not be who you would think Bond should be. Just sayin'....

There should absolutely be a scene with Q where Bond asks him what clicking the pen does, and Q proceeds to explain that upon pressing that button a small micro chip within the watch starts hacking Bonds favorite Rolex AD, and pushes him to the front of the waitlist.
I would love to see that!

Should Rolex be the Bond watch again?

Well since Daniel Craig (off camera) seems to prefer to wear Rolex more the Omega... I would say its still Mr. Bonds first choice.

He is basically paid to wear Omega but still sports Rolex when no one is looking. Lol!

SD43 or Batman.

He's been spotted wearing a Project X Sub mod.

As long as they don't sell those awful "limited edition" watches all billboarded up with 007 on the dial and caseback like the Omegas.

I think OMEGA won't let that relationship end anytime soon.
Even though I love the Bond films with the Rolex watches in myself!
Who would refuse the chance to own a Pussy Galore watch either.

I would be a fan of the original but think that Omega has made the Bond Franchise a part of who they are as a brand. I would assume that the average person who is a fan would tell you that Bond wears an Omega.

Could not agree more. When bond came out Rolex was just a reliable tool watch, that’s it. Tudor would be the best fit now, no thick lugs and flashy bezel for show just pure function and tool.

Trying to think of the last Bond to wear a Rolex; was it Dalton (Submariner Date) in “License to Kill”?

The first watch in Dr No is a Gruen Precision then Rolex Submariner.

The last bond to wear Rolex was indeed Dalton.

I can see it now...

Q:... and here are the keys to the Aston, Do try to bring it back in one piece, James. Now on to your timepiece-

Bond: Yes Q, please do get on with it, I've already been briefed on the Submariner.

Q: Unfortunately, 008 has been issued the last one. We do have the-

Bond: Very well, I'll take the Daytona with the poison darts and-

Q: Yes, well... that is on backorder as well. 006 took that off to Tangier.

Bond: Bloody hell, what is going on with MI6? I'll take the Sky-Dweller with satellite-

Q: M took the last Sky-Dweller and that too is on backorder.

Bond: Then have MoneyPenny deliver the blue dialed one it to my hotel room in Monaco when I arrive there in 8hrs.

Q: James, you'll have to sit down for this- it will take at least 3 years for us to obtain one of the timepieces you have requested given your operational success. 008 on the other hand has gone on far more dangerous missions with far less collateral damage.

Bond: Are you mad? How many times have I saved the world? Remember Casino Royale?

Q: You did wreck the Aston. Not to mention that historic building in Venice.

Bond: Skyfall- Operation Skyfall, remember what I-

Q: M and the others, unfortunately, they did place the blame on you for not foreseeing the attack on MI6. Your job is, after all, a spy who is used to obtain inform-

Bond: Specter?

Q: Blofeld's helicopter- crashed into Westminster's bridge because of you. The PM did not take too kindly to reallocate resources to repair a historic part of London, given the current economic climate and all. You are on the waitlist... about 10th on the list. But do look on the bright side James, we can issue you, let's see... an Omega Seamaster, Speedmaster, the Aqua-

Bond: Q. Listen to me very carefully. I will be leaving with that Aston and a Rolex issued by MI6. Otherwise I might have to do something unfortunate.

Cut to scene with Bond wearing a YG Yacht-Master II as he checks into his hotel in Monoco.

It had a bomb in it. An exploding Seamaster... (lol @ Q in Skyfall, 'were you expecting an exploding pen? we don't do that anymore', next film, an exploding watch).

James Fleming wrote that Bond wore a Rolex. Bond would use it as a knuckle duster.
So yes, Bond should wear Rolex.. and I think it should be a Submariner.. Commander Bond - refers to the Navy.
