So, how many of you sd43 owners...

I like TT, and I like the YG and black theme, but I don’t love it for this watch.

Of course, 2 Basels ago, I complained about the SD43 and bought it on sight months down the road, so who knows. Could change my mind on the TT version, but I doubt it.

My SD4K, SD43, 16600, and 16660 are all staying tho.

I think that my SD43 is perfection and it is not going anywhere ever. I do think the TT is nice but I am shocked by it. Didn’t see that one coming

There is a market for TT SD43. In fact, the TT bezel and bracelet looks okay (similar to TT sub), it is just the hands in gold and words in gold just too much for the watch which is supposed to be "singe red".

P.S. Just got SD43 this month.

Didn't like the TT when I first saw the press release pics this morning but have to say it doesn't look so bad in the Hodinkee pics. Still would never get rid of my SD43.

I like it, and they cancelled the GMT TT which is one I had been thinking of getting so...maybe? If I decided to get a larger SS diver it would be the JC DSSD not the SD43 anyway.

Keeping the 126600, not adding the TT.

Nope. This two tone does nothing for me.

Now, actually, I find the TT SD43 more attractive than the TT Sub LN. The slimmer logs and shape of the case on SD43 (more 5 digit Sub like) look better than the maxi case on the Sub, and the graduated, gold colored minute markers on the bezel give it a more balanced look.
Agree with the better looks. Softer lugs are much more refined.

But TBH, it is quite a good looking watch when see it in real photo (I guess because of awesome SD43 design)

https://www.hodinkee.com/articles/ro...26603-hands-on

Too bad that Rolex decided to do this to SD43 given that they are one of their best "tool" watches

Thanks for the hodinkee link. ( hahaha... “hodinkeelink”)

Seeing those pics and the positive hands on review, I like it more and am intrigued even more to see it in person before passing judgement.

From the article:

“If you want to take some gold to 4,000 feet under the water, Rolex can now make that happen. Lucky you!“

Not a chance.

I don't mind TT but just not keen on the new Sea Dweller.

Not anymore... I can’t believe anyone in the last 20 years ever really saw a Sub/SD as a serious tool watch. Back then I knew Professional divers who wore Seikos/Casios and wore a Rolex on shore. Don’t get me wrong I love how Subs and SDs look but it’s a luxury watch and now Rolex have rubber stamped that by doing a TT version. It will be interesting to see what they do to the Explorers, they too have( had) and impeccable pedigree in SS.

Candidly, I think it diminishes the Sea-Dweller line.

To each his own, but I really do not like it. I have the SD43 MK1 with Red text...real special 50th anniversary watch for my 50th birthday, first Rolex and will be a keeper.

Yellow gold jewelry has never had any appeal to me and I especially do not like TwoTone. This watch with the gold text is just a bad version of a great watch. I know many consider it a Submariner XL, but it is just wrong for the Sea Dweller line.

Is the 44mm TT Yachtmaster in high demand? Nope, trades at 70% of MSRP in the secondary market.

Is the 40mm TT Sub in high demand? Nope, trades at 80% of MSRP in the secondary market.

SD43 is great and is the perfect size for me. Awesome daily watch. For TT I prefer the CHNR. I think the new Rootbeer is stunning. Happy they are both in my collection.

Even better yet, SD with green dial and bezel. That should have been the 50th. Haven’t all other anniversary watches in the past have Rolex green on them?

When I first saw the Seabee (:p) I was disappointed.. But the initial negative might have worn off a bit already. Plenty of showy people that wear yellow gold or two tone already. This might really appeal to that crowd. Let's see who can spot a Seabee in the wild first.. I bet it will be in NYC.

I don’t own a SD but I quite like the look of it even if I understand the reasons for people disliking it.

At that money I’d be looking at a sky dweller however. I can’t see that many shifting.

not bad from this wrist shot. but i am not going to swap my 126600 with this one, even they are roughly at the same price. considering you can get the new SD43 from AD but need to pay preimum to greys for the 126600.

So, how many of you sd43 owners...

My AD will call me when they have their first piece in. I will take a look and consider it seriously. I like it.

Just like any other PM or TT Rolex Professional watch, i think it’s about time the SD has been added. To me, the moment the SD went bigger than the Sub, all bets were off for me. It can be anything it wants to be and I’ll be fine with it. Not sure why all the hate for the TT from the “purists” who also accepted the size change to 43mm.

Would be cool to someday see a full PM SD. That’d be the day I’ll finally move up to wearing large Rolexes.
