I also found a couple of great interviews of Neil Peart on YouTube. In the first one he looks to be wearing a 2000s era 36mm VC Overseas. In the other interview, as well as other interviews I’ve seen him in, he’s wearing a leather strap watch. There’s not a good enough close up to determine what it is, but I imagine it to be a Patek Calatrava.

For those who might be interested, links to the videos are below:

Best view of alleged VC at 3:54 in.

Thanks for these links. Never seen these interviews before.

Neil was an extraordinary genius. When you listen to him it becomes obvious quite fast.

Well yeah Geddy is 60+. The Submariner date / cyclops look became standard Rolex look for us younger people. Well... us that are 30+, 40+ and 50+ hahah.

Great article RIP Neil. Insightful and interesting guy, as was the music, and great take on collecting.

Best band ever?
Oh come on man beatles, Stones, Springsteen, Eagles and 50 others. Before my time but Glen Miller Orchestra had 69 top ten hits in 3 years, 16 going to number 1. 80 years later, even in mono, they sound as good as anything else out there.

This is so cool. I was fortunate to see Rush in Kansas City during their Time Machine tour and it was an amazing show. Such virtuoso musicians.

I knew Geddy was a huge baseball fan and a good guy. Heard he donated like 200 signed baseballs to the Negro Leagues museum in KC when it opened.

Very cool article.

Do you know how he got the nickname Geddy? He did a really cool interview where he talked all about his childhood and how Rush got started. His real name is Gary but his parents immigrated to Canada from Poland after surviving periods in the concentration camps of Auschwitz, Dachau, and Bergen Belsen. How they survived stays in 3 different concentration camps is a miracle in itself.

When he was growing up as a kid with Alex Lifeson, they would hang out at his house after school. His mom would call for him in her thick Polish accent and it sounded like she was saying "Geddy." It was so distinct that it became his nickname among his friends and he has used it ever since.

Rush's Geddy Lee's Rolex/Patek/Heuer collection

Rush is awesome.

Freewill is one of my my favorite all time song.

Snakes and Arrows, which came out in 2007, might be the best album of the 21st century.

Neil's interviews are very interesting. His reputation is that he was a bit shy, introvert guy who hates publicity and all that stuff. But later in his life he changed this attitude and is always very open and has a good humor in those clips.

It was a sad day when he died. To me he was the best rock drummer ever. Truly extraordinary player.

Just found this thread. Our son was born a few months after Neil passed. We named him Sawyer.
I'm really looking forward to raising him to to have a mind that is not for rent.

I didn't read the article, but I did look at the pictures.
I love that photo of the side by side, white and back Explorers.
