Hideous I think...too much black. And what is luxury rubber? Rolex truly can make people pay for anything. What is their true cost for a rubber strap? And they slap it on a watch and charge $30k. Pitiful...

IMHO, the WG YM42 is best looking Rolex currently in manufacture - I'd buy one in a heartbeat if they were a little less costly.

Only watch I think might like better or at least equal to my ceramic sub...and that is saying a lot!

I’ve had one for two months now; fabulous watch, just fabulous. It avoids being ‘flash’ by settling into the background, yet it is elegant and ‘cool’ with the variety of shades of black. I catch myself admiring the Matt black bezel, just so pleasing. The weight of the gold works well, it’s heavy, but not too heavy . The white gold is perfect for this design, set against the dull black strap. And it avoids any trace of vulgarity!
You mention the Oysterflex ‘bulge’. I think that’s a product of the internal flanges which push the strap off the wrist. Not sure you can get rid if it without over tightening. I just accept it. It does stay cool on hot days , which is pleasing in sweaty weather ( not that we get a lot of that in the UK).
For me, perhaps the best watch Rolex currently offer. You can’t go wrong if the size works for you. I’m very pleased..and I’ve had gold Daytonas , DayDates and so on. And the case is slightly slimmer than a Daytona.
Too pricey and too ‘niche’ to ever be especially popular, but that’s fine by me. Perhaps the best designs are rarely the most popular.
. To own and wear, a quiet delight.

Seems the TRF consensus is lukewarm on the average.
Anyone here own one for a while now and have any reviews?
Hodinkee had nice things to say, but seems their reviews come across positive for Rolex most of the time.

The jury is out on this one for me...
It is still going to for over retail in secondary market, so MSRP seems like a low risk purchase to try out for a while.

Would love to hear from owners

Love mine. Size is perfect. Looks fantastic. More comfortable than an Oyster bracelet, which I wouldn’t have guessed until owning an Oysterflex. It was exactly what my collection needed when released last year. Ordered right away and came in early this year. Nearly six months later and I love it more than ever.

It's gorgeous watch, but seems to be over price, if it cost $20k, it will be a hot item.

When it's around $30k, most people would preferred PM bracelet.

I am a fan. Beautiful watch. Don’t see many and will hold its value.

Go for it. I love my YM40 Everose; my wrist is 7.25" and find it very comfortable. I think the 40mm size wears larger because of the dominant bezel.

I'd buy one in steel with a platinum dial and bezel. I'd be open to cool looking brass dials too, not this one.
