You know, Seth, this is ironic and iconic all wrapped up with a bow.

First, the iconic...the Daytona enjoys a position in the horological universe. Currently, the most sought after Chrono on Earth - a legend. It began its climb to that exalted summit from humble beginnings.

Of course much of that legend is due to a famous actor/driver...



Now, the ironic...we would likely never have seen it reach that coveted position except for a woman. So your wife is just completing the circle in a zen sort of way...

Had it not been for Joanne buying that exotic panda dialed, 6239 some 50+ years ago, just think about what would have happened if the series had died right then...



Interesting twist? It really is a woman’s watch.
