A datejust or Black Sub is always the best first watch IMHO.
A GMT is great, but there's something a miss with two tone bezels. They aren't always right for me, especially for when I want to be under the radar. A friend of mine has an Explorer 1, and I think that can be a perfect watch for everyone. Only the one wearing it knows it a Rolex, it does it what it is supposed to do, make you smile and give you the special feeling. Ofcourse some consider the flash just as important and go with more stand out pieces. |

For a new one and only I'd choose an Expll black for a sports style or a DJ41 black dial smooth/oyster which would be a great gada. If it were yo be a used choice I'd go for a 16710.
